I have not watched the Stamps this season,  how do they look on D?    VAJ is hot and cold,   he's very Glenn like in which if you can rattle him early it takes him forever to bounce back.

Must be doing something right, surpassed Schmeck's 2 years of experience within a few weeks and now Jake's come down with a case of the nervous sweats.

Schmek has great motor, and a willingness. I can get why you’d think after the first camp you can mold him into some thing useful. unfortunately, he hasn’t taken any steps forward and hasn’t been able to translate hustle into ability to get pressure or stuff the run. 

Really, doesn’t take much to replace shmeck. They have been playing two Canadians at dt so much, they need a 3rd to maintain that. Which is just sad. Because we don’t need it ratio wise.

Their defense is their strongest unit, VA is still VA, hot on one drive, bad VA the next. Calgary hasn't really had a challenge yet this year, we should be making this a tough go for Calgary and is very winnable.

pretty much....and you know if he was healthy we'd have a trio of him...Wilson and Kramdi and only one of Ayers..T.Jones or J.jones even getting a sniff of the roster...which would be just pathetically sad

The fact our off-season in a Grey Cup yr was basically a bust is pretty depressing....if we had this Idea that regardless of what/who we brought in for interior guys that we were gonna run 2 inferior Canadians alongside Lawson and PR a third knowing the 3 were gonna be Thomas/Schmeck and Kornelson and the only guy to push any was a Winnipeg Rifles kid with 3 yrs of football experience...well flopping i the *** game shouldnt be a surprise

Same with receiver....knowing we lost Lawler..Woli..Schoen coming off surgery...Demski always an injury nagging issue....and we brought in 3 retreads basically....jettisioned any new guy who could be promising and developed, and kept a guy (Case) who couldnt crack roster last yr is also a joke...like wtf we doing

 

I just hope we have enough linebackers on the roster tomorrow.

Brady and Vanterpool back in the starting line up. Jake also somehow listed as starting DT even though he didn't practice due to illness...

Jesus Christ O'Shea will you get another freaking proper DE on the game day roster before Jefferson and Vaughters drop dead from exhaustion. So f**king frustrating.

Thomas, not even being a GTD is strange. Missed 2/3 practices.

We seem married to the idea that the only rotation our DL needs is bringing in all the Canadians at once for a package. The sad thing is, Vaughters and WJ have been the least effective pair of ends in the league thus far. Our limited pressures mostly come from Adams and Lawson being on the field at the same time, or one of them individually making a play.

 Also with the addition of both Shay and Smith they made Haggarty expendable as he wasnt an option at db other than sam

As for our de's i disagree as to them being ineffective.  Against Rourke and Ford they had primary contain responsibilities and Masoli was rushed constantly. They are continuously providing pressures. Our issue is the interior. Adams hasn't been as effective as hoped and not getting a lot of push from others

easy enough to do....do we really need Vpool?....not really...we were fine without him and how do you develop Wallace by not starting him?

Person could have took that spot....and no weitz ...so is he off for BO?...Could of put Bailey there as another option and dumped off Thomas who hasnt practiced all week yet still gets on?....like we would have missed his insignificant reps....or Korn if that suits the Osh Bias heirachy better....both those guys dropped off roster wouldnt affect us....

Typical and expected tho....we win and Osh will be status quo even tho you can be making roster better.....will bite us in ass again tho when it really matters.....you can count on that

Hagerty was an option at S, too. Honestly, if you can play Sam in the CFL, you can play a bunch of DB. 

Novak, Shay and Smith do eat up a lot of roster spots, but they offer decent versatility at least. As much as I like what hallett has done here as a teams guy, I'd a taken Hagerty over Hallett.

They chose to keep Ball which you think the peanut gallery here would love since he played NCAA.  Not sure we need to navel gaze over the 58th roster spot not going to a 6th round pick from 2021 who just got released for the third time.

For me, I'd put on Woods for Vanterpool, sit Jake, put on Bailey for the rotation on the edge with Sergio punting, I'd flip Sterns for Mitchell, Jones for Kyrie. Cut Chase and Scmekel and go find another imp wr for the pr.
