Streveler is not the answer. Never has been, never will be. Gadget QB with terrible mechanics and poor decision making. Thanks for 2019 but time to move on. Need to see what we have in Wilson at the very least. Will O'Shea give Wilson a chance? Not a chance.

Sadly I gotta agree with this. I'd like to see what we have in the kid. He's been " developing " for 2 years now...or is it 3?

Honestly, our OL is meh though Vanterpool helps a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing lofton at G and eli at C.

I actually think WRs aren't so much a problem for us right now. With Wilson, Demski, Wheatfall, Clercius, and then Mitchell/Sterns/Echols. I think Mitchell and Wheatfall should get shutled around with Echols and Sterns. I'm not sold on either guy but thats a pretty decent battle for the last imp wr spot.

Our Wrs have under performed, but I think the system is hurting them. It's not an ideal WR core, but Its above average for sure.

I agree that too much gets dumped on strev. I think he could do considerably better with the right coach. But he's also about to be 31 and far from 100% healthy. That's hard to bet on, with a team that needs change.

I do think he is gonna get a chance though. We will see what he does with it, and how much hogan messes it up.

I tend to agree re; receivers, we don't have a "Lawler", but I don't think they are as bad as it looks......I think we ran pretty thin a couple weeks ago, and we showed it by signing a couple new guys......but I do believe in the right system they could be good. Drop our starting 5 on the Cal. or Sask, offences and I bet they look way different.......

For Dinwiddie, honestly, I have no clue what the Argos upper brass would do if they missed the playoffs.

I would jump at him to for that other job. I have been extremely impressed with what hes done.

He had a whole part of his defense defect....had to redo his oline somewhat....Had to start yr with his backup ...no real back up...rotating door at rb with injuries...he gets some leeway...is also 2-0 in his cup appearances....if they cut him loose we'd be dumb to not go after him

He also plays his best players...will bench guys in game....and actually coaches ....no brainer

and done all this the last 3 yrs with not near the support and luxuries we have here

Yeah Pokey back helps...will help Demski bigtime...Clercius is jut getting better....and yeah with Echols for this yr added I think he gives us something we need and Wheatfall can grow into his spot without having to be leaned on....But we woefully weak after that

Sterns back would be perfect for him being able to be the 4th...5th guy ...and us.

We do tho need another legit Canadian backup....and really Woli traded for would be perfect....can play multiple spots....hands were never an issue and both Strev and ZC trust him and have good chemistry with him...Corcoran is just a big nothing burger and pales in comparison to Woli in the run game....the reason of the excuse why Osh likes to roster him....and other than 1..2 games he's been horrible at it

Why do we need backups when our starters aren’t good enough. We need starters.

Oh I agree

less than adequate starters make great backups on back third of their careers in some positions....especially ones with experience for if/when they have to come in

a mixture of that and young guys earning their stripes on teams...is where you succeed

But for most part...we have no clue of what many of the backups can do cause when have we seen them?....

Fajardo has shown more as a starting QB since 2019 than Streveler has at any point in his career.

Crum has shown more then Strev.    I'm a huge Strev fan (used to be my avatar for a few years on here) ,  but without his legs being healthy he's just not going to cut it.      Sadly a guy like Dolegala would of been a better back up since he at least has the health to drop back and toss a dart (even if it is off target) and also being able to take a hit and get back up.

Strev is a legend but unfortunately time has not been kind to him. I’d rather we see Wilson also but I fully expect Zach to be starting. I’d be sorta surprised if Zach isn’t starting

I love strev, but you’re 100% right about crum. He has that resilient toughness and that find-a-way-to-win that brown has. I wouldn’t want to be depending on crum becoming a qb1, but i sure like him as a back up. And he's got tons of tread left.

He don’t get hurt.

Now would be a good time to sign Elgersma and roster him with the intention on giving him reps sooner rather than later. I guess that’s up to him tho and probably not us right now but things sure seem quiet with him.

MOS didn’t sound too pleased with Milt on the coaches show yesterday.

“I think he started off by saying that because of who it is, saying it, Milt Stegall, a lot of people listen. And I think because of that powerful voice, he should probably choose his words a lot more carefully than he did. You know, he's not qualified to make those decisions or he certainly doesn't know what's going on.

And I'm not qualified either, right? But I have a little more insight into the situation, obviously. But you know, there's, when you make those pretty brash statements, you're, you know, and you make them quickly in the spur of the moment, you're not considering his family or his people that care about him when you make those statements, right?

And I think a little more care and concern should have went in before, you know, announcing to the world and creating clickbait and getting your likes up.”

Selfishly... I would want Elgersma to bounce around a bit down south before he settles up here. If he comes up this year, and balls out next year, he's probably gone again in 2027. If he spends the next year and a half bouncing around PRs and Camps looking for a shot and comes up in 2027, he's more likely here for the long haul.

Mos uncomfortable because people are calling out his MO and he can't just fall back on the wins and losses to justify it. Safe to save he's feeling the heat.

Milt is not wrong...ZC got his marbles scrambled last yr.....and 3 times this yr...when is enough enough...Sure may seem insignificant now, but 10 yrs...15...different story

And to be honest...or penchant for playing hurt guys....not glowing in a positive way

At some point the quality of the rest of his life has to come first.
I’ve got a close family member dealing with severe post-concussion issues from an accident that happened a decade ago, he’ll probably never fully recover.
People don’t realize the toll it takes and for how long after the fact.

I'm thinking it's more Milt has strong care and concern for ZC's long-term health than getting his likes up but that's just my guess.

I agree with Milt... but O'Shea is also totally correct... can't possibly make that call definitively without knowing all the info...

Imho all Milt is doing is offering his opinion up from a caring point of view. I think it's obvious that Milt is not intimate with the details, ZC is not obligated to listen to him but eyes don't lie in what ZC has endured over his career. I don't see how it's meant to hurt him or his family but that's just me.

Milt isn't saying anything that fans haven't been saying for years.  He's not making any call as he has no say in anything - just voicing his opinion which is his job as a panelist.  People don't need to know all the details to know that repeated head trauma is not good and ZC has had more than his fair share.
