I am the one currently living in Thompson and driving to practice would be pretty far. However, I had a house in Winnipeg up until 2 years ago, and I used to attend TC a few times. I never gave any reports because most of the TC reports I ever read did not really match what my eyeballs were seeing, and I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing, just that we all tend to pick horses and it skews TC reports imo.

Case was decent on returns last year.  If they gave him some run to focus on it I'm sure he'd be dangerous but also just get you 10 yards every time.  Both Mitchell's are the style of trying to break one every single time which is great the one time every half season they break one, not so great when they lose you 5 yards trying to outrun contain.  Cobb had better return #'s on same squad than D Mitchell.

Overall I expect our special teams units to be more athletic, physical and consistent.  That was really prioritized in the off-season.

If we go into yr with Cobb or Case...thats a big step backward....Case showed nothing other than he was average and had zero explosiveness....Cobb is what he is...serviceable but far from dynamic and far from a field flipper and with one on the roster to be a returner and receiver depth as well is a big ol Meh....we can and should do better

Time to move away from the "everyone is a starter" which is horseshit and actually bring in a legit talent....and if it means having to cut bnait with on old retread on downside with zero upside....so be it...

It was pretty epic that day Lyle Bauer and Nasty Nate faced off in a bare knuckle boxing match at the corner of Portage and Main. Bob Irving called the fight with Mitch Zalnafsky doing colour if I recall.

We don't get reports like we used to, from the media or the fans. It's unfortunate. Noeller had to travel halfway across the country just to give us one taste of the kind of reports we used to get on a daily basis. Even Twitter is quiet. If we get four tweets from Derek Taylor that's basically an info bonanza. I'd love to get out for a practice and jot down some thoughts but it ain't easy get out in the middle of a weekday and go down to the stadium to watch football practice. If they ever switch venues to the Rods field I'll be all over it though.

It's way too early.  The local sports media are all over the Jets.  Most outlets only have 1-2 reporters.  If Edmonton makes the SCF they are going to have a hard time getting numbers as a league for regular season games.  Wish they'd go back to the season starting on Canada Day.

respectfully disagree.  kudos to Montreal for finding a weird gap in the rulebook and exploiting it, but they've had their fun and I would hate to see a game-winning drive in the Grey Cup feature that tactic.

Too many soft & entitled fans complaining about going to games when it's minus ten in November so they moved the season up. They should start July 1st & make Opening day an event. Instead, no one cares about football in May so no one shows up. Except here.

If it's the Bombers, we lose a Grey Cup on that play.

One positive thing about the injuries is that its 4 weeks to the opener so there is a lot of time for guys to heal.

It's honestly not that hard to defend.  You have to leave an eligible receiver so wide open he can kick the ball from behind the line of scrimmage and recover it himself on the other side of the line of scrimmage.  Be aware of the all the eligible receivers on 2nd and long and it's not going to work ever.

MOS used to be great at finding those little loopholes but it's been a long time since we've seen that.

I wanna say 2018 maybe early 2019 was the last time we saw that kind of stuff from mos. He’s gotten real conservative with the gc rings.
