I think they did a partial rebuild in season, but I really think the best advice is what JBR said: Have Zach tell you exactly who and what he wants to surround himself with, and then go buy it. Take whatever penalties you need to, to put the most talent on the field. 

And while I'm not going to whine and stomp and cry about veta getting tossed, I do agree that Thomas and Bighill (among others) need to be, as respectfully as possible, moved into the next phase of their lives. 

I am ******* DEPRESSED today... And I'm gonna need some time away from football breaking my heart again....but come spring, I'll be ready to fly. I'm excited for full season tickets next year and hopefully being in town for both a WF and GC.

well if we don't make a couple vital key changes....and a shift in how we do things...we may not even get to it.

We partly did a rebuild this yr even tho we didn't intend to....and had some the growing pains for it already...but we have to without a doubt finish the turnover this winter and shed ourselves of a good 5...6 guys at minimum...stop blocking progress of some already here...and if it cause our staff thinks they not good enough...then replace them already

we already laid the majority of the ground work for the roster turnover and transition...so finishing it next yr by any means will not be a down year....more likely the opposite

But running it back next year with BA...Biggie..Thomas...Schmeck...Kolo...Wilson...Sheehan...Lucky..the one Hallett...and some of our longer in the tooth foot soldiers is doing the proverbial one step forward and 2 steps back

This has to be Walter's biggest and smartest off-season and take some of these issues totally away from Osh...and if he doesnt like it I am quite fine with him riding off into the sunset...nothing lasts forever...especially in pro football

Schoen and lawler are my top 2 priorities this off season. Sign them both. We are hosting the grey cup. 
 

release some guys and don’t sign some if the option exists but expecting drastic change is insane considering we hosting. Who are our free agents. Perhaps someone with the time can make a list and how long are guys like Thomas signed for cuz if they are, only way they going is via retirement or release.

He's signed through next year and with another 1k season under his belt I'm not sure he's in a hurry to renegotiate. But who knows what the core would be willing to do in order to build the best team possible for a home town Cup.

I think those first three.  Another veteran American big body, you have the two vet Canadians filling 1 spot, Demski kind of a utility guy too.  I wouldn't count on getting more than 15 games from anyone, need depth.  We win and lose based on our ability to pass the ball.  I have no issue having a million dollar receiving corps.

Also need to sign 3 OL...preferably 2 Canadians.

Can we get Walters to sign @JuranBoldenRules as a consultant? Pretty sure he was the guy advocating we nab Polk off Toronto's PR which in hindsight would have been a great move.

Gotta give WJ props...6 tackles...2 sacks...he got that pick...forced a fumble...was creating issues all night....Lead by example in big game for sure....Loving the progress of Garbutt (whom I've said since last yr should have been playing) ...and has become real good in run support....if we can land another impact end....and I truly believe Person is that guy.....and Haba as depth I like the prospects for 2025 with Lawson back as the defacto Canadian DT...to work with Fox/Woods/Adams and our main goal this off-season to find that legit difference maker inside.

It would have mattered GREATLY if we executed our game plan flawlessly. This loss is 100% on the players. I know you are going to spin this into a MOS offseason of rants, but this is not on him at all. He didn't turn the ball over 5 times, he didn't take crucial bad penalties. If there was ever a case of players dropping the proverbial ball at the wrong time this was it.  Roster management did not make an iota of difference in this one. The players need to all look at themselves, with the exception of Willie J, and ask themselves why they didn't show up.

Ok not 100%. But certainly the vast majority of the stink rests right on the 5 turnovers, bad penalties, and dropped balls by receivers. That is not coaching.

he let a QB dictate things to him and play when he couldn't hold ball.,,.let alone throw....he also did nothing to counter what Argo's were doing...he again dressed a player who didnt see the field...he again relied heavily on a receiver (Demski) who was far from being effective....and....had no coverage rostered for it....he again rolled with 2 sub par DT's for no apparent reason I can see other than his love for excessive Canadians.....this team again seemed not totally prepared...and yeah drops and mental miscues is all part of a game prep and coaching...Have you ever played at a high level and know what actual preparation and coaching entails to mitigate that?...No you havn't....an to your point it is on the players?...well maybe thats a reflection on who the coach put out there too...get and or roster better ones who won't/don't choke

fact of the matter the loss...and the win last week are collective ventures.....but to say we were not out coached...and our coaching let us don...now 3 yrs running is head in the sand nut tugging.....I get it you thihnk Osh can do now wrong and is perfect.....well he can do better...much better and is far far from perfect...dont let some success blind you.

The interesting part is that 3 yrs running....you can inter-change a lot of the complaints...gripes....issues that contributed to the losses and they would be valid....how many failures is it gonna take to change the way you approach things?.....based on what I have seen...and how Osh acts and tries to spin things....I don't see him changing his MO...I just don't. History has shown now he either can't or doesn't know how

And our offensive game plan...was crap....and he signed off on it....defense played more than good enough....but again the scheme and the plan to just let Arbuckle of all people sit back un-impeded and carve us up,..was also something the coaches came up with...then didnt alter the plan when it really wasnt working as good as we would have wanted...let alone needed

Players cant go rogue and do their own thing...they do as told...and coached up to do.....so you can say all you want that it's a Osh attack....and yeah I guess it is...and justified....our coaching let us down...again....hate to be right and say I told yu so...but I said if we fail ...again it will be due to coaching....and for most part...it was....again

He could hold the ball just fine. One interception of the 3 was on a bad throw. The other 2 were god awful reads. You think we can do better than MOS do tell, WHO? It's a garbage take imo, that lets an abomination of poor play by our players off the hook. I have NEVER claimed MOS is perfect, or that he doesn't make mistakes. I just don't go the complete opposite direction that you do and claim every mistake is on him. You want a balanced take show a balanced take.

of a poor game plan....and then not adjusting it...also...the coaches choose the players.....obviously not good enough for big time games....we need more guys who play nasty and can still fit this "Culture" Since we lost guys like Desjarlais...Gray..Darvin...Sheed...Jeffcoat...Stove...Nevis....Couture...we have lost edge and nastiness...mean assed mofo's who got under theskins of other teams and were mean s.o.b's....and we have wilted and failed when it mattered

More focus should be made on players who can get it done and are do anything for team towin...as opposed to nice guys...fit culture or see ya...good players will fit any culture and even add to it...it's pretty easy to spot bad eggs right from the get go, and if room is good as it's claimed to be....edgier team first guys will blend in just fine
