Likely our last home game of the year, so drink up!

Don't forget to bring a tin for the bin.

I like Bailey. He's earned a starting job. But you're easily impressed if you think averaging 50 yds/gm is outstanding.

Same with Lawler, he deserves to be starting, but he's averaging 25 yds/gm in the three weeks since his big game.

how many catches vs how many targets....? We run the ball...receivers don't see a lot of balls.

Its practically a pre season game, hes been in practice for what 4 weeks? last year we started streveler day 1. Nothing wrong with have a guy wet his toes in limited action in a game with no standings implications.

Four weeks of scout team reps. Streveler had a full training camp, plus a week of 1st team reps before his first game. We'd be putting a guy in a position where he's almost certainly going to fail.

I said to Dave the other day, when we were talking about your recent posts, "I would think that when you've been around for a good 60 years, and have seen pretty much anything happen come playoff time, you'd be less inclined to just give up on things".........in the Bombers Grey Cups past, there's at least one 80s GC that came when the team **** their pants down the stretch and then caught fire in the playoffs, right? I just refuse to give up no matter what...

I haven't given up as the ball bounces in strange way but to beat teams on the road in the playoffs takes a lot. Everyone at every position has to play lights out to do it. We have little or nothing at qb as I see it which means it's a monumental task. The 88 team meets your description. Sean Salisbury played his best football in the playoffs & Grey Cup.

All you need is a 3 game hit streak, and this team can accomplish that. Neither Saskatchewan or Calgary are juggernaut teams this season.

Knight seems to be well suited for the CFL and definitely has the fire in the belly. Runs like a deer, but I could not find any definitive statements about his arm strength. Maybe next year we will get a chance to see him in action.

Is it possible we're doing the rope a dope?Lose the final 2 to Calgary and finish third. Stamps finish 1st. We go to Regina for the WSF and beat the Stamps. Then go to Calgary and stun the overconfident Stamps. This is the Canadian Mafia's plan, right?

Streveler started at qb, im talking about running some option and the short package. Im not saying have him drop back to pass 20 times🙄

Incredible athlete, as a passer, really shakey. His arm is a long term project to get him with a consistent appropriate base, getting his arm slot and release point where it needs to be etc. He over compensates soo much for his bad mechanics you cant really say how good his velocity will be when he/if he gets it all corrected. Hes one of the wildest passers ive ever seen.

But his athletic ability is soo special (especially for a qb to have that kind of quickness/cod speed) that he could be a 3rd stringer in the cfl. He could be the goal line qb / holder and run some wildcat/option stuff.

That worked real well for us in 2001. You cant let up then just hammer back down on the throttle.

I think the mafia is too worried watching their backs to make a plan......  they can sense those cement shoes sneaking up behind them

That’s ‘the trinity’ to you... show some respect for our godlike leadership

Lapo definitely likes to rope a dope, but he doesn't appreciate how hard it is to swing momentum back when you need it.

Not even theoretically possible.

would be nice story IF collaros can guide this team to the final dance and meet the guy who put him to the shelf on an illegal hit

that’s a big IF tho

If they have a new qb and new coordinators then maybe people will get excited.... with the same cast and crew people just won't care

If he called plays the whole game like he goes in the first quarter we'd be 18-0 this year.

Difficult task for a team that unfortunately has been on the decline and not an upturn leading into the playoffs. Add to that a QB situation where the best thing you can say is you are now starting a well rested QB

He threw the ball with zip in practice AND he gives good interviews.

And I heard the media pass rush was negligible.

Well. what else do we need?

Yup. Seriously. Anything can happen.

Not to mention we also lost our short yardage qb, our holder etc and of the three he has a running qb skill set. Its him or mcguire in those situations, who also has not done it in the cfl. Not like you can ask collaros to do it.

here's the thing though... everyone realizes (including the Bomber coaching staff) that getting second place is extremely unlikely.... but it is still possible... so you want our coaching staff to just treat this game like it doesn't matter... even though second place is still a possibility.... that would be quite the loser mentality... tonight should be about 1) winning and 2) prepping for the playoffs... in that order...

Hosting a playoff game means a lot of money for the club.

I get the feeling @rebusrankin was speaking a little tongue in cheek...

This^^^   I'm astounded by the "smart football fans" that think that this is a nothing game and we need to start auditioning players for next year.  Give your bloody heads a shake people.
