Week Of: Bombers @ Argos

Figured we might as well get this rolling. Practicing in Guelph this week in preparation of Thursday night's contest. Years and years of Bombers dreadful seasons have me feeling like we're going to give the Argos their first win of the season, and that things are going to spiral out of control the rest of the season, and the Riders are going to build momentum and keep winning...........I need a smack to right the ship. Bombers and Hammy by 50+ this week, pls....

What are they going to do with 9750 left over bags?

So they're out for three or four games, then?

“I’m just trying to stay in the moment, I’m not trying to get overwhelmed and rely on my preparation.”

The Bombers aren’t sure what to expect exactly from Kongo as he is scheduled to make his Canadian Football League debut Thursday against the Toronto Argonauts, but they do know he will be doing everything at full speed.

Asked about his strengths as a player, Kongbo listed off “my tenacity, desire, motor, speed, aggressiveness… those are things that edge me out.”

It looks like Bighill survived his first game back without any setbacks. I expect to see him flying this week.

Am looking for a better performance by Mr. Grandmont- he looked lost a few times last game.

My guess is Kongbo replaces Rush if there are no other injuries among the NI's.  The other option would be Wright.

Or Hallett.

These pictures don't do justice to how big Kongbo is.

Sometimes a team is so bad it goes beyond a "trap" game and the question becomes winning by how much and why you didn't win by more.

This is that kind of game.

....except we're not playing BC..

You're  playing a winless team in full free fall.

They are both lousy....but TO plays a more physical brand of football, and has a much better DL.   That said, losing this game, would be some form of disaster, certainly....

I am more scared of the Argo than the Lions

This one gives a bit better of an impression.:

Matthews listed as starting on the outside. That's good news. I think he's been wasted inside.

Happy to see Bailey is getting his shot over Walker, even if he's not listed as a starter.  Also really looking forward to seeing Kongbo in action.

that's the shits that Adams and Alexander are on the 6 game....cripes. Also interesting that Lucky isn't returning kicks at all....Jones doing all the return chores.

Ouch yeah, 6 game for both, really blows.  At least we have some solid depth.

Who is the odd man out?

I think that's just for "depth chart" purposes... I suspect Lucky and Bailey will also be involved in the return game...

But they have really short legs. I don't like to point it out but it really tells you how good Medlock is as a kicker with little tiny legs.

I'm pretty sure the depth chart the last couple weeks has only had Lucky listed as a receiver. Hasn't affected how he was used in game in the least. I wouldn't read much if anything in to it.
