  • Ok let me take a stab at this game... Andrew Harris’ biggest run of the night was at the end of the half when just trying to kill the clock. Take that run away (the game we’re doing by taking Nichols

If this kind of nonsense is still going on here the night we win the Grey Cup after going 18-0 this season I may have to start hanging out next year on the Lions fan forums. If they in fact exist.

Coming from the city that calls in the army for help when they get the slightest bit of snow, I'm not sure they should be making weather jokes.

Dammit, I have to defend Toronto. I hate when this happens.

Anyone who has lived in Southern Ontario, north and along Lake Ontario knows how ridiculously heavy the snowfall can be when it storms. I don't just mean volume but also the heavy weight of the wet snow. That was a crazy snowfall that shut the city down.

Yikes, I don't like the way this is going. Teasing is one thing but the CFL needs butts in seats everywhere.

The thing is... you don't. It's game day and we are hosting the Argos- you are allowed, Nay-EXPECTED to not defend T.O or at the very least defend them after they have collected up off the field their battered and bruised egos, slumping back to the big smoke where they will wallow in full emo style contemplating their pained existence as a franchise where no one cares...

Remember after... not before.

Argos could use the military's help right about now.

In that picture, he looks like the Argos multimedia grabbed a hobo off the street and tossed a doubleblue uni on him.

No need for real men football players to look like pretty boy actors anyway.

So my post was as accurate as their tweet then?

That’s because he’s not up front. He’s behind the scenes, you know, managing..

So what???  You have a blizzard probably best to stay home and keep out of the way for a day or two until it melts,  cluckle-heads who refuse to alter their schedule based on obvious deterrents are the ones who die during natural disasters.  "Not now Reaper Man, I have a reservation!!!"

Sure, for people just going out. Not so for those that are involved in emergency services, which was the primary concern. Ambulances, fire trucks, police couldn't move around. Never mind those that work at hospitals.

We got snowed in for the better part of a week up north..... no army called.... same issues hospital workers etc etc.  The town rallied and everyone made it to where they needed to be.

Argos one of the worst CFL teams I've ever seen -- they're like a jeep with four flat tires and a pound  of sugar in the gas tank.

Still I've got worries that if Bombers get cautious on O and let em hang around the game could be much closer than expected.

Wow that hogan response saying they found footage as rare as a bomber grey cup win is pretty lame...

that's actually a relatively harsh burn by the Bombers twitter team...I'm impressed. I know the league doesn't like jokes about attendance, because it's a sore spot, so good on the Bombers for saying "**** it" and taking their shot. It's what I'd do....

Does the league own the Argos off the field yet?

Or, is that just on the field?

Has a team been fined for going against the social media policy?

I think you are out by one decimal point on the Argo score.

Y'know what? You're absolutely right and I'm guilty of being one of those cluckle-heads. Let me share a story ...

I tried to drive 4 hours to a job this winter. Got caught in a wicked white-out in the middle of nowhere. Ended up driving off the road and into the ditch. Spent 14 hours there until the wind and snow subsided enough that I could venture out of the car to explore my surroundings. Turns out there was a farm house just 1/4 mile away. It also turns out there was a wicked accident with a tractor trailer and 5 cars on the road directly above my car which was in the ditch. I hadn't seen or heard a thing. Cop on the scene didn't even know I was there. When I crawled up out of the ditch he said, "you're lucky that tractor trailer didn't head for the ditch. He'd be right on top of you", and I almost vomited at how lucky I had actually been. I was also lucky to have had blankets, food, a full tank of gas and a running engine. I remember calling 9-1-1 when it first happened and talking to the O.P.P. It was then that the stupidity of what I had done hit me and my heart sank when she said, "I'm sorry sir, we're not sending our officers out in this weather. Stay with your car, stay warm, and be patient. We have a lock on your location from your cell phone and will send someone to find you when the weather clears". To almost add insult to injury the cop contemplated charging me with dangerous driving but I think he let me off when he realized I might have learned my lesson. Never again will I do something so utterly stupid. I should have turned around and went back home or better yet, never left in the first place. And for what? A job that that I was laid off from a few short months later. Just dumb. But I remember thinking at the time, I have driven through stuff like this before. I'll make it!
