Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

The riders tried it and it failed miserably. Hardrick struggled at guard early on before bond came onto the roster at guard and hardrick slid over. 

The Bombers 100% tried Bond at T. He held his own, if not excelled. Nothing he did in Regina worked well. He just didn't fit that system for whatever reason. But the guy can 100% play Tackle.

No Paddy Neufeld started that year as RT then got hurt Hardrick moved to RT and then Bond came into line up to play LG.

Yep. 

There was talk about him "just being a guard" prior to the end of the season and bond said he could do both, and had played some T in the past but never here. 

 

IF yiou think back hard enough too...we were experimenting with him at center too

Derek Dennis struggled with the Riders as well. He was an all star tackle with the Stamps in 2016 & 2018.

He started a bunch of games for the Riders in 2017 & was by far their worst OL. He eventually ended up back in Calgary where he became a West DivisionAll Star for the second time last season.  If I was a Rider fan I'd be wondering what was going on.

When Dennis came back to Calgary he didn't have many nice things to say about the Riders, their coaches or Chris Jones.

They fixed one thing and ruined another... the helmets are nice by why the orange pants... just go black, would look sooo much slicker...

Makes you wonder how Adidas got it right with our uniforms. It's obviously very hard for these companies.

Why don't these companies use focus groups? STH's of different ages to get their feedback before they release their team's new uniforms. They obviously need help to get things right & knowledgeable fans would help in that process. Instead of some fashion designer who doesn't know the difference between football & soccer.
