I realize we're all going to be pretty miserable next week, but this predicted snow is actually fantastic

One way or the other, the creeks, the streams, the rivers, the lakes and our ground water/water table, need to be replenished

They are forecasting another hot and dry summer, so we still NEED more spring moisture

If we get more moisture now, then we could get by with minimal moisture over the summer - last spring was very dry, coupled with a dry summer

Another crop year like 2021 will send food prices through the roof and severely impact other parts of the economy

I don't need more snow to be miserable.

Lol at weather forecasts days in advance.  Maybe if they got today's temperature right I'd believe them but they don't so trusting something mid week is crazy

You're going to 'run' right 'on' into this system.

It should give you some respite - to write another missive - or two...

I can't control the weather,  I don't care

eh I had been looking at the patterns, it actually starts around the same time I catch my bus and it starts to get heavy by the time I leave work, even if there was I don't benefit because I don't work on thursdays (I work part time)

well I was right about one thing, the forecast did change....but now the snow is expected earlier like 3 in the morning (at least that's what the weather network says...for some reason Environment Canada doesn't have the Long Range forecast equipment the weather network has)

and apparently people at work are talking about not coming in on Wednesday, a part of me wants to follow suit...but I just found out that my supervisor won't be in a good chunk of the week and she has no sub booked for Wednesday, and to be fair I don't feel good about taking a day off (in case she doesn't come in and hasn't booked a sub)

If Frankie says it's so then it's so. Buy your cases of Pepsi and order your Chinese food, lots of snow heading for WINNIPEG MANITOBA

It has to eventually.

“Potentially historic blizzard” is what the weather network is calling it now. This had better be some kind of storm or I will be disappointed.

How many times in the past have we seen Environment Canada & the media build blizzards up to be The Almighty only to have them come crashing down & literally nothing?

It's not likely we miss it. It's lined up pretty good . I suppose it could shift a bit but I doubt it. This is going to create so much work for me and  make a hell of a mess

I just got an e-mail from the superintendent of my school division, school buses are cancelled for tomorrow and thursday but they haven't decided if schools will be closed yet, I might not find out until 6 in the morning which is usually the time when I get dressed...honestly there's no good sense in having a Simpson prediction happen (basically the episode "Simpsons Sense of Snow")

I'm seriously thinking about eating and running...or taking my breakfast to work with me if they don't cancel classes...but I keep getting told (not by staff) that if the transit buses don't run the city doesn't run

No busses but still school? Crazy.

I know that Calgary and Wyoming are under snow today.

yeah I consider it extremely  senseless if they do that but still have classes in session

I booked this week off 2 months ago. Not only does this storm ruin my plans but they are closing the office for 2 days and those F’ers are getting 2 free days off…

P la P will not have schools open tomorrow or thursday (I wish my school division wouldn't drag their feet on a decision)
