Nichols off the 6 game IR

Featured Replies

Matt Nichols and Chris Streveler taking turns running the #Bombers first-team offence in the final 12-on-12 session of practice, but it was mostly Nichols — he started and finished. Streveler also running with the second-team.

It appears he's starting on Saturday.

I just sure hope they didn't rush him back simply because Streveler didn't do as well this last game.  As much as I want to win games, I still hate seeing the plug get pulled on the rookie's learning experience.

Maybe Matt was scared the young gun was going to push him aside!

I just hope the Bomber braintrust hasn't panicked. If Nichols gets hurt again & is gone for the season there will be hell to pay. I'd have preferred they wait a couple more weeks but they should know if he's physically ready or not.

So Tburg… Dieter Brock had a huge knee brace. I can mention Brock now, can't I? Or is it still unfair to compare Nichols little knee injury to Brock's big one as I know a knee injury on a great player like Brock is huge compared to a little knee injury on a so called unimportant journeyman qb as you think Nichols is. With greatness comes greatness in knee injuries.

Kevin Glenn has played with a knee brace since his injury in 2006 which was similar to Nichols injury.  It’s 2018.

I'm beginning to worry about you. Are you really saying that because a QB in '70's wore a knee brace that Nichols is telling the complete unvarnished truth about his injury? That comparison is just as bad as comparing Brock to Streveler after his first game.

You're worried about him? 😂

no worries,  he's doing fine.

Pretty sure he knows quite a bit about the game.

It's called sarcasm since you didn't like me comparing Streveler's very first game to Dieter Brock's very first game as a rookie. According to you that shouldn't be allowed as Brock went on to become a  Canadian Football Hall Of Fame qb. As if that had anything to do with it. Nah, you thought Streveler should have been compared to Mike Reilly, a 6 year vteran as he put up big numbers yet Streveler didn't. That's what should have been compared. A raw rookie vs a CFL veteran.

Not what I said at all. I guess you never bothered to read what I actually said slowly like I suggested. Not going to goaded into yet another useless pissing contest with you. Cheers.

His knee brace would suggest otherwise.

No one should take an athletes take on their own injury as the unvarnished truth.

Your comparison on Streveler & Brock is laughable.

I got the joke...and yeah, as soon as a brace was mentioned I thought of Brock too...

Anyway, wearing a brace after a knee injury is kind of standard practice.

This is great news.

On offence Bombers look pretty good with Nichols and Streveler as a backup. I actually like that better now than if they had Durant.

The only thing they need to do is go deeper down the field now and get both Adams and Bowman involved.

If they can do that they should have an offence that is hard to stop like last year.
