I like the idea of what a 2nd Westerman would do for our D_line for years to come. Getting Venerable could mean a road to the Grey Cup so I would break the bank with whatever we have left and spend it on those two.

Matt Coates...national..played for the Cat's ...nice size at 6'1...200... Played in the Cup game for Ham..Kohlerts replacement I'd say.

A rotation of the two would be optimal. But I really want to see what butcher does in camp, rather then have him veteran'd out. 

i feel like the Bombers can save sone SMS if they sign Van Roten and release Headrick & Neufeld. Van Roten can play any position in the OL.

If Butcher is good enough he won't be the one to lose a spot on the roster.

He has size and a cool last name but I'll want to see something on the field before it's anything more than fan hype.  Certainly not going to pass on legit talent just because of message board hype.

I've accepted Friesen will always have an Eeyore-esque approach to his columns; I assumed he could pass along simple information like a normal reporter does but that might not be the case.
