Actually he got hit several times last game alone and for whatever reason, the officials won't protect him. It really looked liked Ottawa players were going for his knees. One (late) hit was so obviously low that Nichols legs flew out from under him like someone had pulled the carpet from under his feet. Yet there was no call. I would definitely have pulled him right there. But he was left in to get drilled in the right knee one more time and fortunately the hit only grazed him or it could have been really ugly. I can understand coach leaving a linebacker in under those circumstances but never a QB. I just don't understand coach O'Shea on this. How many QBs does he have to lose before he gets it?
