The 2 leading candidates up until 2 weeks ago were Trevor Harris and Andrew Harris. Well Trevor H's team is tanking, he is now injured, and he seems to throw for a lot of yardage, but that's it. And Andrew, well, not a lot of votes are going his way, rightly or wrongly.

Good question. It might depend on what the Bombers do with Nichols.
My uneducated guess is this is what Walters is thinking, "If we don't win the Grey Cup this year, we will move on without Nichols next year."
If Nichols is gone Streveler might sign here, but then again the Bombers may bring in another QB that shakes loose...i.e. Arbuckle type.

Yup. I was sitting right in front where that happened. I thought for sure a flag would be thrown. Nope. Thanks refs!
(Hopefully the refs do some payback and have some calls go out way this weekend).

Guys on 620 and 650 radio out here in Saskatchewan kept saying it was a clean hit.
Arash Madani came on and said it was an intentional and dirty hit for which the player should have received a penalty and an ejection.
Glenn Suitor also said it was a dirty hit (and he sits in on the rules committee meetings.)

I disagree with the 2nd part of your post - I think Nichols needs Harris (in fact I've argued that Harris has been both a blessing and a curse for Nichols - because he depends on him so much).
However, I agree that (from what I've seen) Streveler will be a dynamic 2nd string QB, but may never be a good #1. I hope I'm wrong.

Riders are a good team. The Labour Day Regina game is THE hardest regular season game to win all year. Streveler did okay. He needs to clean up his game for the Banjo Bowl.

Anybody know if the Bombers still stay at the SPA in Moose Jaw...or in Regina?
Milt was on the radio in SK yesterday talking about the days the Bombers stayed in Regina and some stupid Rider fans woke up Milt and Khari at 3 a.m. and they never got back to sleep and the Bombers got blown out so coach Ritchie said "No more of that. We're going to Moose Jaw from now on."
