  1. My thoughts on the game:

    - Highly entertaining

    - Rider defense is strong

    - Lauther lost this one (he needs to be replaced, but not till after Banjo Bowl)

    - Riders got a P.I. call (Montreal player should receive an Oscar for that flop). Command Centre stayed with the call on the field; which tells me that, going forward, the Command Centre will go with the call on the field in almost all cases.

    - West is tightening up!

After watching him get taken out of the game by the spotter, it got me thinking.  How would it work if he was unable to play next season due to injury?

Under normal circumstances, we couldn't release him this season if he was injured and have to wait until the off season.  Could we still do that or because of the guarantee, would we just park him on the 6 game all next year.  He still gets paid but it wouldn't go against the cap.

I'm thinking with this turnstile O line, the likelihood that he gets injured is pretty good (I'm not for anyone getting injured). If he gets a serious concussion, he might be done. We'd just 6 game him in 2025.

IF we were to cut him now we would be on the hook for what he earned this yr so far (bonus ad salary) and would be on books for 250k for 2025...even tho not here...only way out is we deal him....he retires after season.....or he renogotiates and we get rid of that....and cant see him doing that...so we hooped

IF we were to cut him in the off-season (not going to happen if O'Shea has any say) and it costs us 250K...I'd say that would be worth taking a chance on IF we could pick up a cheaper, younger guy like the Montreal back-up (Alexander??), but not worth it if only old QB's are our only choice (like BLM, MBT etc).

Rourke couldn't get out of the CFL fast enough in 2022. To him, playing for the Lions was an unforeseen detour. He was above all of us. Playing up here was beneath him. He felt that he was too good for the CFL.

What proof do you have that Rourke has ever had this attitude? (Please share if you do). He wanted to make more money and try the NFL. That is his right. As far as I've ever seen, he's been a humble young man who has just tried to better himself.
