If you think Cody ******* Fajardo is anywhere NEAR as good a QB as Matt Nichols, you're just ignorant....

From Jan 18th, 2017 (Matt Nichols contract extension):

Financial details weren’t immediately available but Nichols will reportedly earn between $400,00 and $450,000 over the course of the deal.

With Nichols under centre, Winnipeg posted an 11-7 record to finish third in the West Division. The former Eastern Washington star was 10-3 as the Bombers’ starter and recorded career highs in passing yards (3,666), TDs (18), attempts (471) and completions (327) with just nine interceptions. (From AP services)

Nowhere did I say Fajardo was as good as Nichols (time will tell). But their situations are somewhat similar as Nichols came into the 'Peg and won some games and then signed a big contract.

Watch, O'Shea starts Streveler even if he's injured. That is how this guy works. If he can walk then he'll play. That is classic O'Shea. You'll hear quotes from him in the media from, "He says he's ready to go so he plays"  to "Even injured, he gives us the best chance to win".

Yes, I like a lot of things O Shea does (he respects his players etc), but on other issues (injuries) he is downright strange!! A guy can be healthy many, many weeks and yet sit on the injury list and yet a player like Streveler or Harris can be lying on the turf with one arm torn off and it's "he's good to go back in!" I don't get it.

Or he will complete a very high percentage of them,  and then the Matty fans/Big Chris haters will want him to start the playoff game.

Hmmm. I'm not a Chris hater but I do not think he gives us the best chance in the playoffs.... doesn't matter what I think though, O Shea will do or die with him. (I do think O Shea should rest Streveler on Friday).

Again, regardless of what his CFL QB career ends up looking like, he is undeniably supremely talented and athletic. His shortcomings fall elsewhere.

Yes he is an extremely talented runner. But, at this point anyway, he lacks in being able to execute (i.e. find and hit the open receiver). That is one of the most important aspects of a successful QB. If he doesn't improve in this area he will be nothing more than a tougher, faster version of Nealon Greene.

It was said Brock could throw a football through a fully running car wash & the ball wouldn't get wet.  Which was all hype & untrue. In his book, Dieter claimed he once threw the ball 85 yards in practice when he was an LA Ram.

I heard him on the radio saying in practice he once threw a wind-aided ball 100 yards.

For the love of all things unholy can your front 7 please please please please just put BLM on his a@@ and shut him the h@@l up

Yes, I'll say this as decently as I can...BLM is THE BIGGEST Douchebag this league has EVER seen. I've starting to think it's not his talent that kept him out of the NFL, it's his attitude.

Arrogant doesn't begin to describe him.

Realistically Bombers and Stamps splits the back-to-back. It's hard to beat a team twice on a back-to-back. Especially the Stamps w/ Bo.
That will end us with 11-7 record after the back-to-back.
Stamps are 11-6 after they played us, then facing the Leos, making them finish with 12-6 record.

Yes. The most likely senario has us finishing 3rd and having to beat both Calgary and SK in their barns. A very tall task. ( But possible).

Lol. Go check the total yards when Nichols was playing. The O was figured out many months ago. Predictable. Only diff with Strev is he doesn't check down to 33 every pass. Our OC has been figured out. Seriously when most of us can guess what hes calling without film study, yeah.. Its the OC.

One could also argue that every team should have every other team "figured out"...there are a number of options with every formation, but every team studies those and often plays the percentages.

Like one coach said "I don't care if they know what we are doing. If we do it right, they won't stop us."

Far, FAR worse QBs than Streveler have won Grey Cups. With far worse supporting casts too. Not saying it’s likely but it’s far from impossible. There are no juggernauts in the league this season.

I am asking an honest question here...but what "far, far worse QB's than Streveler have won Grey Cups"? Can you name 3 please? ( And don't include Kerry Joseph as he won the cup in 2007 and was the league MVP that year).

Generally you need a decent QB to win the cup. Our last 2 Grey Cup QB's were Sean Salisbury and Tom Burgess, but they certainly weren't "far, far worse".
