Streveler has a weird throwing motion, his arm is not my concern. It's his decision making which is questionable but to be expected from a raw young QB. I hope the team keeps him after this season but I'd like the club to go for Masoli in the off season because Chris still needs more time to grow.
This. Most reasonable Bomber fans understand that Streveler needs to improve a lot. Will he? I hope so. He's still pretty inexperienced. I'm not convinced that Streveler is our best option to win in the playoffs (i.e. Collaros)....but knowing O Shea it's do or die with Big Chris.
It will be an interesting off-season for the Bombers. Will they re-sign Streveler? Nichols? Or go after Masoli?

He’s only 24... can have a 10-15 year career ahead of him yet.
He likely won't be playing till he's 39...,but another 10 years, sure.

I counted 6 guys on here who picked Streveler as a star of the game. Sorry. I just don't see it. He is a second year player, one of the most exciting players I have seen for a while, but this game was not star territory for me. I hope he develops into a star in this league, though, and the Bombers should be patient with him. But he had 2 picks. If Nichols had 2 picks, he doesn't get my vote either!!
Streveler 15 out of 25 for 174 yards passing. 64 yards running. 1TD throw, 2 picks.

Well including today his overall body of work this season has been not that good. Very rough around the edges, who would make them their starter at this point? The guy still has potential but unless a team wants the bumps in the road I don't see him getting starter money anywhere.
Agreed. If Streveler wants to stay in the CFL I'm not sure a team will gamble on giving him starters $. Calgary -BLM, B.C.- Reilly, Edmonton- Harris, SK- Fajardo, Hamilton - Evans, Montreal- Adams.
So Toronto and Ottawa and Winnipeg will vie for Masoli, Arbuckle, Nichols & Streveler (and the leftovers in Toronto that I wouldn't touch).

This is all we have left to cling to this year. Friggin sad.
I'm still holding out hope that Collaros can stay healthy and win us a few playoff games...(I'm doubting Streveler can).

I have no idea what O Shea will do will Collaros, but I'd get him in a little game action in the next couple of weeks and play him a fair bit in game 18 ( platooning him with Streveler).

I guess I'll continue my planning of the parade!
Don't bother. The Riders have the plans for the parade route.

Good move. At least Kyle Walters did SOMETHING.

O'Shea basically scoffed at this rumour, it's not true.
Did he also scoff at the rumour that he will be fired if the Bombers don't win a playoff game this year?......which likely will happen ( the Bombers not winning a playoff game) if they don't make a QB move!
-
If they are content with Streveler then the Banjo Bowl was likely our last victory in 2019. I hope I'm wrong.
-
I'd be nervous about getting Collaros too. The Riders should have never signed him this year and they were absolutely ecstatic when the Argos traded for him.
Having said that, can he last 3 games (maybe starting the final game) and 1-3 playoff games??? He's still a better choice than Franklin...

So you've heard the rumour that Taman is dusting off his good sweatpants?
I just saw him at Superstore buying a package of napkins.

The guy can only do so much when we have a useless OC calling the plays.
If you listened to 1290 TSN post game Chris Walby mentioned that McAdoo (SK's OC) was "getting run out of town last year. This year, with Fajardo, he's looking like a genius!" I can't prove this, of course, but my bet is that if Reilly or BLM (or Dunigan, Clements, or Brock) were running this offense LaPo would look like a genius too!

Streveler had receivers open (I was at the game). He just couldn't find them.
He's not a bonafide #1 QB yet. Maybe he will be someday, maybe he won't. Sorry, that's not all on our OC. ( With that argument I could say "Stick me in at QB, and if I don't succeed it's LaPolice's fault" -ridiculous!!)
Streveler is a great athlete, a fantastic talent. But he has to grow his mental game yet.

Then hand the ball to Harris. To me the decision was made to air it out and we did it till we lost.
Yes. Agreed. They didn't give it to Harris enough. It's hind sight of course, but we were down near the red zone 3 times - we could have fed it to Harris

Chicken and the egg. Was Streveler’s performance a product of a game plan unsuited to his skills or was his performance the cause of a failed game plan? I vote for a game plan poorly designed for his abilities.
Riders were ready for him to run. Dickinson said so before the game. They took away his legs and let him beat them with his arm. He couldn't.

Uh. Streveler is not the only QB in history whose receivers have dropped the ball...
