  1. The guy on post game rider radio - 650- said the Bombers are wasting a championship - type defense this year because their weakness is QB. I'd tend to agree at this point. Bringing in Kevin Glenn  and promising him the starters job by the last game of season is likely our ONLY hope of winning a playoff game. We likely won't win even one more game this year with Streveler.

MOS: Our guys generally work pretty damn hard.

Either MOS didn't notice or, what I'm guessing (I can't see Willy making up a story) is that it's the same-old, same-old from MOS - never, ever throw your team under the bus publicly. Okay, I can respect that position, but...if things don't improve with the team, if we have another first round play off exit, jobs - coaches jobs, will be gone

  3. Agree with both of the above statements. Walters may indeed be looking for a seasoned back up ( he'd be kind of stupid not to be open to the idea at least). Nothing desirable has come across his desk yet. The only real possibilities are Glenn or one of Toronto's trio.(or unless we trade for Reilly ha!)

ffs man, I invite you to lie down on your stomach, prop yourself up with just your right arm, elbow on the floor, and then have Shawn Lemon bellyflop on your shoulders.  Then you can make judgments on who's brittle and who's not.

Soon as I saw how he went down and then how he left the field pointing at his shoulder, I figured he was Lulay'd or Khari'd. I suspect the dude isn't just losing a season over this.  I'm sad for him tonight, he was a warrior who turned around the Bombers' program after a lot of years in the wilderness. His win-loss record with us is absurdly good. I'll always be a fan of his.

If I remember right, he's doing sports management courses at Gonzaga, so he's positioning himself for the next act.

    Well said!!

As unlikely as it would be ( and it would take some humble pie), having Nichols here as a back-up next year would be good for both sides!

Good post. I had not heard much all week regarding Strev's condition. I do think he was on the gimp during the second half last week and if his running ability is degraded then we may be in a jam against the Cats.

And if he was injured during the game, why did they leave him in?? ('Cause the way we played, we were preserving the win, anyway).

I know he didn't play for us very long, but I really liked Eugene Goodlow when he was here.  He broke some kind of record too.

Pound for pound talent, Eugene Goodlow was likely the best Bomber receiver I have ever witnessed in my lifetime (IMHO).

  7. Derek Taylor (on 620 radio in Regina) was just going off on the CFL today for not throwing Adams out. He said absolutely the Bombers would have won if the right call was made. He interviewed Arash Madani who agreed and said the CFL needs to be held accountable. Taylor further commented that if the tables were turned and Bighill had hit Adams with his helmet "he would have been suspended for the entire year!"

    Very true.

James Murphy had a couple of huge catches in that game and Trevor Kennerd was a star as well, but it was our defense that was stellar...James West, Rod Hill, Mike Gray etc.

Gray caught that pass but I think it was deflected a couple of times. Not sure who tipped it at the line.

I was referring to the Stamps.  In their back to back with the Esks. they did not give up a single sack.

Yes, this issue alone may be THE issue of whether we can handle the Stamps this year. Will we be able to put pressure on BLM and disrupt his timing or will we give him all day to throw?
