Why does Jovon Johnson play on every team?

The blog is titled "Looking back on Free Agency" on the Bombers website... it's called "How the Bombers won Free Agency" on cfl.ca... this is the biggest non-issue in Bomber land since... well, we all remember when...

Yeah you could be right... the Huskies/Rams rivalry seems pretty good... I don't think it would take much to get Saskatoon to hate Regina... if they don't already... I'm not sure what the football fanship is in places like Prince Albert, North Battleford and Llyodminster, but those places might draw some in too...

I've actually always thought Saskatoon would be the perfect market.... problem is all toon-towers are already Rider fans... the conversion would be tough... The Labour Day match up between the Regina Riders and Saskatoon Bushwackers would be great...

Thrashers would have been an appropriate name for a Manitoba team... the logo could be something along these lines...

Sask has some good top end talent and a impressive goalie tandem... I think MB might have more depth and probably a little stronger on the back end... This would probably be a decent hockey game...

The NFL has guaranteed money... not guaranteed contracts... for example, a top CB might sign a 5-year deal for $65M, with 20M guaranteed... the 20M guarantee is the only number that really matters... he may never see 65M, but he's guaranteed the 20M...

I think that's the biggest issue... if he was 30 with the same previous 5-6 seasons... that ask wouldn't be ridiculous...

It helps that they have Duncan Keith on one of the most team-friendly contracts in the league....

I have no objection to an American team in the CFL... especially in a northern American market that isn't near the NFL... but realistically this conversation starts and ends with the ratio... and the conversation is over...

My first thought was Jovon Johnson... but it was far too articulately written... he greatly overestimates how well off, financially, most teams are... Hamilton wouldn't exist right now if not for Bob Young... for these guys who want one more shot at the NFL, there is no other league that pays even remotely close to as much and offers as much exposure as the CFL does... unfortunately his complaints fall more-or-less under the "comes with the territory" category...

I also am not one to get my own name on a jersey... nothing against people who do it, I just wouldn't... I considered getting a Chris Garrett jersey a few years back b/c it matches my first name (although spelled differently) and #19 was my number in sports back in my glory days*... *disclaimer: does generally riding the pine count as glory days?

Pro Tip: on a hot summer day... don't wear a t-shirt underneath... the "breathy-ness" (couldn't think of a better word) of football jerseys make them very comfortable to wear on a hot day...

Not uncommon for casual fans to like "fan-favourite" players over actual good players... I remember the casual fan outrage when we released Jason Vega last year... good player but he certainly didn't live up to the contract he had... Greg Peach... seems like a nice guy, good leader, probably a good locker room guy... but all that means nothing if you can't play...

Not a huge fan of a weds evening game in August... but otherwise, not bad.... Banjo Bowl on Saturday again, but in the afternoon this time...
