From a continuity perspective, its nice having Charbonneau here. If/when Wylie leaves/retires, we may have the option to keep him around; would be nice having someone who has learned from the best. And Wylie does not appear to be a model of health so having Charbonneau is nice in-season "insurance", should Wylie experience any health issues.

Thought this deserved its own thread:
@PentonKirk: Bob Wylie is not at camp because he's away at a coaching clinic. He'll be gone a few days at a time throughout the season. #Bombers
@PentonKirk: Paul Charbonneau, a Wylie protege, is the #Bombers assistant offensive line coach and will run things when Wylie is away.

Hajrullahu and Maher both hitting some beauty 60-65 yard punts. Hajrullahu hitting 35 yard FGs with ease. Missed several wide from 42 yards out. Maher looking much more comfortable with FGs beyond 40.
Walters and McManus on the field today observing. McManus now involved in helping a bit coach the receivers.
Lots of construction going on the West side of the stadium. Looks like they're building some small balconies right under the ribbon below the upper bowl.
Quinn Everett lining up at RG during early drills.
Bob Wylie nowhere to be seen. Appears someone else is working with the OL today.
Willy I thought looked better today. Nice strong accurate arm. Takes longer than Hall to get rid of the ball though. Hall sees what he likes and makes his throw. Willy likes progressing through his reads and takes an extra second to get rid of the ball, compared to Hall. Willy threw a nice short pass on the run.
Jason Vega showed up and is chatting with fans in the stands.

Judy was honest in saying she would raise taxes to fund the needs of the city. Sammy said it wasn't needed. Sammy changed his mind as he is known to do.

    A few early observations:
Mario Urita is huge. Towers over guys who are 6'3". Not the greatest hands though; dropped a few short yard passes. But it's early.
Goossen lining up on the defensive side of the ball, opposite the centre in some early drills. Maybe Wylie is just getting him used to the extra yard from a different perspective. Goossen now taking reps at centre.
O'Shea walking around observing for the most part. Spent some time with the special teams early on. Now he's with the offense.
Buck throwing 20 yard passes to his RBs.
Wow does Marve ever have some zip on the ball!
    Kevin Smith is here.

What I don't understand is why aren't both sides meeting more often to negotiate? Seems like they meet for a couple days, then nothing for two weeks. Seems odd to me if they want to get a deal done.

I agree, this is the best of the major Bomber fan discussion forums. Congratulations on the one year.
Has there ever been discussion about a MBB member get together? For example, watching a Bomber game together in a sports bar, a game of touch football?

$750 a week is $39,000 a year. That's a very decent entry level salary for someone just out of university.

Won't see much of a drop off, if any with Feoli-Gudino and/or Brescacin.  Might even be a step up.  Etienne and Poblah just weren't very good.

At the fan forum tonight I asked about the offensive line. O'Shea said he's looking to hire an assistant offensive line coach. Smart move as Wylie might not be here forever so good to have another coach learning.
O'Shea also said that if Wylie was going to return to the CFL he wanted it to be with Winnipeg.
