I continue to be amazed at the constant stream of players whining and embarassing themselves on twitter, and I'm not even paying that close attention.  Maybe the Bombers twitter problems of the past couple years weren't just a Winnipeg thing after all...
 
The players are acting like they're in a CBA battle with a group of millionaire/billionaires like the NHL and NFL.  Someone should remind them that in places like Wpg, Sask, and EDM, if the teams lose money it is the taxpayers paying the bill. Lord knows we have already. And in the other cities the teams will just fold if they lose enough.  This maybe makes me sound like a shill for the league, but in many ways the CFL is essentially negotiating on behalf of the fans way moreso than in any other situation we've seen in sports.
 
The higher the salary cap and ratification bonuses are, the more money the province and city (ie. the fans) are on the hook for if the Bombers ever come up short.

In that case I guess it's not a bad way to get a comment like that out if that's how they really feel. Put it out there just long enough for everyone to retweet it, screenshot it, etc., then remove and say it was an accident.

Funny that the Bombers official twitter account just retweeted that comment...

You taken that verse out of context. Leviticus 19:19 was a part of the commandments given by God thru Moses specifically for the Levites - the Israelites clan assigned to minister in the temple (priests).
 
The verse I quote is from the letter of Paul to the followers of Christs (Christians). 

It's frustrating to read this stuff when it appears most of you have no idea what the actual Christian position on homosexuality is. You seem to all have a warped view that lets you paint anyone who disagrees with you as a hateful bigot.

You make it sound like it's been falling apart from the start.  What are the other black eyes again?  The traffic issues that they managed to pretty much solve within a week?  Or the *gasp* handrails that had to be replaced?!?!?  Or maybe the open-air press box that no fans will ever use, that will be enclosed in time for the Grey Cup and Winter Classics.  I guess if you add those up you have half a black eye, maybe.

Good point. Wasn't the coalition of the left that tried to take over (along with the separatists, who may have even had veto power) supposedly formed because they were upset that the Conservatives weren't doing ENOUGH stimulus spending?  And then later they're outraged about the deficit. LOL.

Good point. Wasn't the coalition of the left that tried to take over (along with the separatists, who may have even had veto power) supposedly formed because they were upset that the Conservatives weren't doing ENOUGH stimulus spending?  And then later they're outraged about the deficit. LOL.

I think it would be great if Manitoba was run the way the Conservatives run the country - with a focus on the economy as opposed to taxing us to the extreme so they can quickly buy our votes right before the election.

I don't know what to expect Peter to say. Most of us don't know the players or the  business market involved.

Does anyone else remember how much time the media spent bashing Mike Kelly while praising Joe Mack for how much better and different he was than the previous regime? For the first 2 years anything bad that happened to the team was blamed on Kelly. Then when they turned on Mack, they turned on him hard.
 
It was the same thing with Kelly. Before he ruined his goodwill by not playing ball with the media, they were all over trashing Taman for everything bad that was going on with the team. They were absolutely loving the subway napkins comments long before they were trashing him for being unprofessional by making those exact comments.

You can have sex changes, change your outward appearance and you can choose your sexual preferences at any time. Your points are invalid.Lots of people took personal shots at Kelly. How many fat jokes were cracked about Lawless. What Roberts and his personal life decisions we mocked in the past. Maybe he couldn't help chasing big girls and smoking all the time.

This is what we were saying last year.  Fool me once shame on you...   I'm going to wait for the team to show that they can follow through and succeed with at least one thing before I gain an ounce of positivity.
 
Muamba, A QB (ANY QB??), a FA Olineman who can start and be good, Kohlert??? Etienne????? Sign any of these and I'll have a glimmer of hope.  So far all they've shown is that they can hire complete rookies at all major management positions (again) and put together most of a coaching staff.
 
As for all the #thanksjoemack comments, remember Mack's first offseason? Everyone blamed Mike Kelly for everything bad that happened.  And at least that year we signed Steven Jyles (the most coveted FA QB at the time), AND an experienced QB in Buck Pierce.

Buck had much-needed shoulder surgery so he could be rejuvenated next season.  Might look good as the Bombers starter.  Lots of experience there.

One thing about us Bomber fans, all it takes is a nice mass firing to get everyone back on board and hopeful. Remember how low things were with Mike Kelly amongst the fans, and the next season started with a pile of sell-outs.  We are a forgiving lot.

OMG what a horrible place BC is, no one wants to go there, what a joke of a franchise.
