Dont you realize that Devin Tyler has been in the league for a while? He's not fresh from down south.
Aside from that he has some familiarity with Willy so maybe there's a level of comfort there.
In fact,  I wouldn't be surprised if Willy has some say why Tyler was brought here.

ACTUALLY... from watching the defense all season long, i can hazard a guess because... Yip, you got it park pontiac, they ARE ALWAYS STRIPPING, RIPPING AND PUNCHING AT THE BALL!!!
Did that maybe penetrate? I never once said "etch says this.." I said "its my belief or opinion.." This is a discussion board for opinions about the bombers, is it not? As for the interview, im pretty sure i heard it in week 3 or 4 after shermanator got his second forced fumble in two games..

He's only leading the league in rushing because other teams can't decide who they want as their running back or are suffering injuries.
 
1. Saskatchewan:
Started off with Allen but switched just because of a couple of fumbles, then moved to Ford, then Messam. Add their stats up and you're at 692 rush yards in 125 attempts for 5.5 yard average.
 
2. B.C.:
Enjoying the successful tandem of Harris and Logan
They combine for 786 yards in 147 carries for a 5.3 yard average.
 
3. Edmonton
Same thing for Edmonton with their running John White back showing off 334 yards in 51 carries for a 6.5 yard average. Oh and if you add in Kendial Lawrence then they combine for
558 yards in 79 carries and a 7.07 yard average.
 
4. Calgary
Suffered an injury to their star running back Cornish. No doubt in my mind he'd be leading the league right now if not injured.
 
Then there is TO, they are just a pass first type of offense, however their rush game is still much better than ours. With their running back currently showing off 332 yards in 57 carries for a 5.8 yard average.
 
 
The rest of the teams, their offense has been so shitty and inconsistent that it makes sense that their rushing totals would be behind ours.
 
 
With all this said, give your head a shake if you think Grigsby leading the league in rushing actually proves he's doing a good job. I would have cut or traded him yesterday already. If running backs are a dime a dozen, god knows why we're so content on sticking with a < 5 yard per avg running back. Completely unacceptable.

I don't think that "wanting it bad enough " is the issue. Otherwise no one would lose a grey cup game.Our team has issue with oline protection and run blocking.
Our defense has issues with run blocking. Improve those these things and this team can win any given day. If not, if only a few things go wrong it will cost us some games.
Are we the greatest team in the league? No. Have we improved tenfold over last year? **** yes.

Honestly, say what you want about Joe Mack, but the man knew how to find import receivers. I can't remember the last time we didnt have a Wallace Miles, Chris Matthews or Greg Carr come out of camp ready to start....

Quit calling people out and degenerating threads into pissing matches and name calling.  
 
I swear, in the past week this forum has been worse then it was all of last season.... and the Bombers are 5 - 1.

unbelievably great call this one.. so many people were ready to run him out before preseason was over...
and yet, there is no " oops.. Bad call..." posts made by anybody.. shocking!

A. I never said they were not legit.  What are you arguing against?
B. I never said everything 'bounced' right for the bombers... Willy has forced the win when we needed it
C. 3-3 is still a good team.  5-1 is a great team... the 2001 blue bombers were a great team with the capacity to literally destroy oppositions - I think our record will settle into something like 10-8 or 11-7
D.  Getting caught against Ottawa and then locking it down is coaching, we've only had one real dominant win against Toronto - we are a well-coached team with decent but overachieving talent.

If we only win three games for the rest of the year, then something will really have gone wrong.
 
And before you start typing... I said we are a well-coached 3-3 team.  I did not say we would finish the season 9-9... well-coached teams only get better.

What have we learned in the first third of the season:
 
In the East:
 
Lose your starting QB and most of your starting O line and it will be very difficult to win games.
Hire your HC late, fire your OC in TC and promote an unqualified ex-QB to OC and it will be very difficult to win games.
Lose most of your starting receivers and it will be hard to win games no matter who your QB is.
Expansion teams rarely win many games, especially in the first half of the season.
 
In the West:
 
It doesn't matter who's injured, Calgary will be ready to play and win.
Losing Sheets and Dressler is a big deal, will make Durant look worse and will mean a lot less wins.
When a rookie HC and starting QB look like seasoned vets, your team will be in every game.  With a little luck you can turn that into 5-1.
Chris Jones has turned a bad team with a good QB into a good team with a good QB.
Rushing  Glenn gets him off his game which results in losses.  (We actually already knew that)

Denmark's route was to the corner of the endzone. He came back b/c the ball was thrown so high. The throw to Grigsby was supposed to be right to him, but the Ticat defender was between he & Willy so he had to throw it high. Willy threw it like that in the hope either Denmark or Grigsby could win a jump ball.
