If Schoen signs down south.....Lawler is a lock here...If Schoen is back, on his current deal...or a restructured extended deal...which is likely as his NFL window would effectively be closed now....I still think Lawler is a very likely landing spot...especially if you toss away Ellingson and Bailey's combined total of around 260/270k....You have Schoen..Lawler..Woli and Demski making decent money and an Agodusi/Heiligh or some other possible rookie stud filling in the 5th slot at entry level $$....the metrics work

I'd rather have Lewis than Lawler tbh. More polished route runner IMO.

I never doubted it...Demski is a different personality than Harris, and less of for a lack of a better word baby when it comes to certain things...and is more of a FIFO guy than Harris...he gace us some good yrs...helped us get the monkey off our backs, but he also wasnt as FIFO as many are led to believe...and thats from inside the locker room...not just speculation

Interesting - but not surprising whatsoever.

  3. GREAT point by DT on Twitter just now regarding Demski and ratio implications: "Bombers have no worries about the 7+1 Canadian rule that starts next season. Bighill, Bryant, Hardrick, Alexander and others qualify to be ‘nationalized’."

Sorry, can't figure out how to embed tweets for the life of me haha!

Well, restructuring it as they go is going too far, lol.

But I still think he’s not going anywhere. I think he is trying to get paid full value and wants to have some official offers from other teams to help his bargaining position.

    Walters will get it done.

Restructure doesn't mean less money...lol. You can tweak cap hits based on how much is allocated at salary versus various bonuses etc.

  4. Maybe I'm too much sunshine and rainbows given the success of this regime, but I wouldn't be surprised if Demski has agreed to terms but their letting Walters go after our other pieces and restructuring a Demski contract as far as salary/bonuses go based on what KW can get accomplished over the next few days.

As Mike mentioned previously, you don't sign an aging QB, God bless Zach as good as he is, and let a top target walk out the door - a local one at that.

Isn't Huff like 20 years older than O'Shea? Not sure if Buck is willing to wait 15 years for O'Shea to reach retirement age and want to move upstairs.

Not at all the point. The point is, 11 years is a long time to be in any role, which will be O'Shea's tenure at the end of his new contract. If we're fortunate enough to win another championship or two in that time, he'd be well deserving of a promotion upstairs.
