Definitely going to be some backlash after last night, if only because it was in front of a home crowd. Inexcusable. Attendance the rest of the way is going to be horrid. Only real reason I'd agree to Burke firing at this point, is to just put the guy outta his misery. This current mess certainly isn't all on him, but it's not fair to keep putting a guy through this. For his own good, and out of mercy, let him go so he can get a good night's sleep.

The only thing in the last decade that really got the fan base to rally around the team, was Swaggerville. Best thing to happen to the franchise in God only knows how long....

At the very least, I am extremely excited to bbq a steak on the back deck, tip a couple ryes and watch a (hopefully) good 'ball game tonight. Been awhile since I've had a Friday night off, so this will be good, come hell or high water...

...I mean, I do....but does anyone else? I'm not rose-coloured enough to think about playoffs, but I'm not ready to start thinking about next-season-auditions yet, either. So, I dunno about y'all, but these days I'm watching for the sake of watching a good football game. It's always fun to watch the team win, regardless of what it means in the big picture. Here's hoping for something to cheer about.....

Ahh revisionist history. Burke was tapped as HC, because he was the most highly touted "next CFL HC" around the league. People were TERRIFIED we were going to lose him if we didn't promote him.

Also of note: Akeem Foster into the starting receiving corps. Apparently Foster, Denmark, Edwards, Kohlert and the kid from Hamilton as our starting corps. Is is curious that Sims-Walker isn't starting full time yet?

That's kind of an ignorant take. Starting a guy who's arguably a top 5 NI LB in the league is a disaster, but starting a guy who was a hardly above average CIS DB at safety is a good idea? I am assuming that you misread and are not referring to Labbe as a top five NI LB... This isn't a witchunt for Labbe... its just that we already went down this road in 2011 and it cost us dearly. He is just too slow, that's the way it goes... He wasn't too slow tracking down a guy and forcing a fumble in Banjo Bowl. Labbe might not be as good as Muamba, but that's no slight. He's still a damn good player who can get the job done. To say that he "cost us dearly" is absurd.

I'd personally change: "A" Blue Bomber Fan Community to "The" Blue Bomber Fan Community, but I suppose this is taking the high road...
