The Central Division, even the Western Conference as a whole, is tight and if this type of pace keeps up it will come down to the wire in who makes the playoffs. No one is comfortably in a playoff position yet. Fun to watch, hard on the nerves.

It should be a fight in the playoffs, which hopefully won't work too much in favour of the Eastern Conference.

I mean you can go back and forth on maier cs. Faj if you want, but really those are the 5 qbs who took the bulk of the snaps for their teams... if he was healthy Trevor Harris easily outperforms fajardo. So already he's dropping to 5/6. Being a better qb than  the likes of Taylor Cornelius doesn't impress overly much.

Which just proves that it's a team game

Even with a healthy Trevor Harris, the Riders probably don't make the playoffs, much less win the GC.

I will always view the last Cup game as a 'we beat ourselves' with poor decisions, and roster wise and 'not up to par' play calling loss...IF we had played up to our potential we would have notched our 13th Cup win....and Faj would still be the same qb. we all know he is

And if the Bombers had ended up winning, he would have still played a decent game. The guy passed for almost 300 yards.

When Jauch came here in 1978, he turned Brock into a pocket passer from a sprint out qb who just saw half the field into a qb who saw everything. It sure helped that we had the best OL in the CFL at the time. Brock had a cannon for an arm with deadly accuracy. It was an amazing transformation.

I never watched Brock play, but my uncle always insists he was prone to overthrowing receivers. Would you say that's accurate?

never forget that the last go 'round they had to bump up their STC because literally nobody wanted the job, and then last year when they needed a new OC, literally nobody wanted the job.... EVERYONE turned them down..... except the local guy who just really wanted a job in pro ball. Can't be stated enough.... NOBODY wants to be in The Gap...

Jeffrey had previously coached in Edmonton and Toronto.

I have it on pretty good authority that Buck wanted the job, he didn’t decline. I know fans of Big Blue would like to think that’s the case to push the agenda, but sadly, not so.

Regardless, Mace is a great hire. There was no losing for the Riders with Pierce or Mace.

Ok. But there was also 'pretty good authority' saying Pierce was the front runner.

and to correct that immediately will take big dollars....raping other areas of the team...and thats only if any quality top notch o-line guys make it to FA...and that in itself is rare....and Oday has shown he has no clue in drafting any, or finding any imports...Adding a new HC and a QB with potential...but not proven by any stretch isn't turning that turd around

Yep. I"d say the Riders need to go with 3 imports on the OL, like the Bombers did not that long ago.  But who's going to find good ones? Sure as cuss not O'Day.
