Well, good on him for taking less
it seems to me that would be easier to do when signing with a contender...you pretty much know you're getting play off money...up to $23 000

American running backs who hit 1,000 yards may be disposable. A Canadian RB who hits 1,500 (and 2,000 from scrimmage) much less so. And if he goes down, we have Another Canadian to step in as well as any American.
This. The way the roster is built, BO could have an American back up.

Hardrick lost a step last year it was noticeable in the 2nd half of the season. Riders are insane for paying that much.
Or maybe desperate. Truth is, he's better than any of the tackles they started last year, and it's not even close.

Eli is a natural C who can play some G if needed....... can he play out on the edge??
I'm not sure where I read that he has played tackle?

One thing posters have been saying did come true...that the Riders would overpay to get good offensive linemen. Mind you, that was a low hanging fruit prediction - O'Day is trustworthy when it comes to those. But good for Yoshi, he deserves to be paid. I just hope he ends up cashing in on all of it.
Things just got interesting on the OL. I suspect Richmond will be the new starting tackle, based on how long he's hung around. HOWEVER, Manase Foketi could tell us something about how that works out.
If Gray can get the job done, that spot becomes very interesting, because Eli could probably be his back up. They could also seriously consider going with an American RB, or fielding one less Canadian receiver. Another option would be going all import on Defense.
As Booch always says...tasty

I do....lightning in a bottle....I dont see anything even close to resembling a repeat there...let alone getting out of the East
You sure? Their D is very good, especially the front 7. Not saying repeat, but a decent team.

yeah...the availability of several QB's they could have had a shot at, that would have gave more upside, and even current success than what they retained is laughable....Even MBT for a yr would have gave them a better chance of semi-success
Ya, MBT is at least serviceable and actually has a pretty decent durability history.

Very true. Harris was dog poop in edm, even worse than ssk imo. But a bit better in mtl.
Edmonton has had terrible OL play for years - all the way back to Mike Reilly and even Ricky Ray.

Don't the Bombers have one of the longest unsigned players list in the league... where are people getting this "bringing back the same team" idea from?...
Well, I guess we'll see. But the truth is, many of us are skeptical because we've seen this movie before
It happened with Dave Ritchie and it happened with Doug Berry (after the 2007 season)
Then the chickens came home to roost and the team was just not that good

Lol. When you've been fishing/eating fish for a week, chicken or pizza in TP on the way home, is the bomb.

BO....not sure there...I think he believes the RB spot deserves a huge windfall....and it won't happen....well not here
Let's say a team has OL issues. A Canadian RB might allow them to start 3 Americans on OL.

Why did they get rid of the Grand Big Mac? That was the size the regular Big Mac was twenty years ago.
Yep. A double big mac used to be enough fuel for the day. And the Angus was a good sandwich - that's gone too.
