Beautiful flip to Augustine.
Thats what Strev’s legs can do for the offense.

Woli has to put his foot in the ground and turn that upfield sooner.

Their starters are going to beat the roster we brought.
Should beat.

You get Holliday time? You get time off? No one to blame but yourself. If you wanted to do it bad enough you would. But you spend your time complaining about it on here instead.
Or .. on the dawn of a new season .. the sports media can cover the most successful franchise this city has.

I just want to take a moment to recognize that, for the most part, we're doing a really good job of keeping this discussion civil and on point. Thank you all for that.

The bolded part is clear. The you in the statement is Randy Ambrosie, IE the league.
Privilege? What privilege?
The subject of the quote is Pinball (you). The part referencing Ambrosie is a tangent. If she were referring to Ambrosie and that discussion, she would have said "He promised ..."
As for your privilege, it's apparent by your "special interests" comments that you've led a very charmed life and I'll leave it at that.

Marcoux went on to say how she and female staff members across the league have advised CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie the handling of this “extremely serious situation has been a complete and utter failure from top to bottom.”
“You promised to go above and beyond the league recommendations,” she posted. “Yet at the first opportunity to do so, you did the complete opposite. You have only managed to downplay a serious situation and make women across the league feel unvalued, disrespected and unsupported. Do better.”
Give the whole quote:
“Pinball, you said yesterday ‘We will give Chad Kelly all the support he needs.’ What are you doing to support your female staff that now have to face coming to work every day with a predator in the building? Have you even spoken to them about your decision to allow this?
As I and many female staff members across the league have communicated to Randy Ambrosie, the handling of this extremely serious situation has been a complete and utter failure from top to bottom. You promised to go above and beyond the league recommendations.
Yet at the first opportunity to do so, you did the complete opposite. You have only managed to downplay a serious situation and make women across the league feel unvalued, disrespected and unsupported. Do better.”
This is directed at Pinball and also .. your privilege is showing just a bit.

Bennett cut but Schmekel stays on the roster. Can’t fathom a world where Schmekel is seen as an asset

It also means that if you're valuing the draft pick that highly, you should probably hit on a few draft picks.

How did the CFL ever miss the Gravy Train??? As a fan, I'd take just one tenth of that growth thrown our way. .
Much smaller population and audience which translates into significantly smaller broadcasting deals .. limited reach (in terms of global audience and awareness) and a somewhat insignificant approach over the years to grow the game at a grassroots level.
Football is religion in the US (I know you know this well); Hockey is Canada's.

Put it this way, I even have a Sadeeq Shabazz jersey in my closet I bought on a whim out to Regina for Labour Day one year. It sits right next to a game worn Marcellus Bowman jersey I bought at a locker room sale one year.
My Henoc Muamba jersey is right there with yours.

I hate the 1 year deals. it's hard to budget for next season when you constantly have to renegotiate these deals. You'd think an older veteran like Castillo would want some security that a two or 3 year deal brings.
This is a complete aside but these types of deals (1 year) is a primary reason I haven't bought a "player jersey" in years. There's no incentive for me to if the player is gone the next year.
It's either me repping my family or going old school with one of our greats.

I think the problem in Winnipeg is exasperated by the lack of density .. it lends itself to that completely "dead" feeling you get downtown after hours.
When I first moved to Winnipeg 24 years ago now, I lived downtown (Donald and Broadway) and it was significantly more vibrant than it is now (not saying it was great but it certainly was better).

ran it back 2 yrs...ran up to it the other 2 and got slapped away...if we being factual lol
More like ran it back for two years then ran it and fumbled on the 1 for the other two.
The better team prevailed on those days but it still pisses me off that we weren't able to close out those other two Cups.

I'm sure there will be a number of guys we've signed over the last little while who don't make it to camp. Happens every year.

That got better once we added him later in the year.

I’m pretty sure the most exciting transaction will be the player that “came to terms” with the Riders but has a change of heart…
Sounds like one of the stages of grief .. acceptance.

BA says he played most of the 2nd half with the injury. Are you calling him a liar? Also my comparisons are meaningful as there is a very clear precedent of player playing through injury with great success that MOS would have considered when making his decisions on these guys. One can argue that in game adjustments should have been made for Schoen particularly, but it is nonsense to suggest that Biggie played poorly. He didn't make any highlight package plays but that's more due to lack of opportunity than anything.
If you couldn't see Biggie labouring and unable to make plays, I don't know what to tell you. He was not particularly good in that Grey Cup game and really had no business being on the field.

Hodge is, and always has been, terrible at what he does. The fact he has a platform speaks more to the fact that there are so few quality guys out there covering the CFL than it does about his ability.
I’ve been saying this for years.
