There is just no way that Osh is making these roster cuts completely on his own. I can't figure out why people think this. Assistants will have had a say and absolutely Walters has a HUGE say in the roster. I mean, just based on everything we've ever seen from this front office, we have to believe that right?
Walters brings in the talent but it's ultimately O'Shea and his staff that decide the roster's makeup.
NOT stepping on each other's toes and being respect of each person's roles and accountabilities (ie. letting them do their job) is what has made Miller, Walters and O'Shea as successful as they are.

A little of column A and a little of column B I think .. I DO think this was a 'lazy' year for Walters.
I wasn't happy with our draft but when you consider how many top end talents stayed down south, it's not surprising it was a bit weak.

Given the way we've used our PR and recent additions .. he'll never see the active roster and be released at the end of the year.
Made this comment (about Deng) shortly after he was signed. I was wrong .. thought he'd at least last until the end of the year.

1. Brady. I don’t think enough can be said about how important he is to this team.
2. Schoen. 6 receptions for 101 yards. It’s not the flashiest stat line but his work last night helped breathe life into a lack lustre passing attack. Making tough catches to extend drives. Physical. Resilient.
3. Sergio. Accounted for most of our points last night and without him, we don’t win this game. Plain and simple.
HH - Parker. Came in after Houston went down and struggled a bit early. Settled in, found his footing and provided solid coverage on the corner.
This may be something of a controversial take but Toronto putting in their third string QB with a regular season game still in the balance was a sign of disrespect - they don’t respect our defence, our players and are incredibly (overly?) confident in their team. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take the win but if I was wearing Blue and Gold that wouldn’t sit well with me.

So patient also involves taking a shorter pass, trusting can also mean not pulling the trigger quick enough.
Like sometimes he just looks to freeze, sometimes he seems to wildly throw quickly. Not the guy we saw last year anyway.
These things we’re seeing with Zach aren’t new .. they go back to last year’s playoffs.
He’s got happy feet. He’s unsettled in the pocket and I don’t think he’s confident in his protection. He’s also forcing throws .. it’s putting us behind the chains (or simply turning it over).

Doubt they roster him this year, waiting to see what they do with Haba once Jeffcoat returns.

We lost three games we had no business losing so, unfortunately, every game we play until the end of the year is a "big one".
Not saying we have to win out but dropping any of our remaining games doesn't make me feel good about securing a direct trip to the West Final.

I wonder what we're thinking?...Are we or did we give him a call to find out what his latest plans are.....IF he comes back to the CFL he's definitely our player until Feb. of 24'....after that I'm not so sure....He can pick up a few cheques now....and who knows maybe some Cup dough, can't see him throwing that away....???
It's not like he got much of a chance to see the field while he was here. Spot duty due to injuries - acquitted himself nicely - sent back to the bench. Maybe he's looking at playing with his brother in Edmonton?

I believe you when you say he's more physical, he has demonstrated that, but Kola is also a NI, that's who he'd be replacing, there is no added flexibility unless I'm missing something (totally possible)
That’s my bad .. for whatever reason I thought he was American.

We'll never know til he gets a shot. Eli's mass alone probably stops that one sack where they blasted between Kola and Gray
Eli is simply a more physical player and is a NI to boot. Starting him just gives you more freedom to dress playmakers in positions of need.

We've seen what this team is capable of when prepared and motivated. The coach needs to make sure thats the team we get every week. Simple as that.
This.
Our best is better than ANY other team’s best in this league and there’s no reason we should be this inconsistent.
We won’t play lights out every week but showing up looking ready to go? That’s a really low bar and we’ve failed to meet that a number of games this season.

Houston gonna get owned going for a pick again.
He reminds me a little of Robert Bean .. relies a little too much on his athleticism and is sometimes burned by it.

Should have been a delay of game for chucking the ball downfield.

I thought going low on a QB while he’s in the pocket is RTP? Not like Oakman was pushed or anything .. went right at Ford’s knees
