Different topic, anyone else think the Stamps organization is in serious trouble?
Dilapidated stadium and facility, super low and consistently dropping attendance. Lousy QB with a big contract, no marketable star players. Ownership doesn’t seem to care in the slightest. Huff getting older. Dickinson getting dumber by the year it seems.
I actually think they’re on the thinnest ice of any team right now.
Frankly, that stadium is pathetic.- Mark H., rebusrankin, Noeller and 2 others

I agree, I just don’t think it’s an off-season that puts them in contention for the Grey Cup.
Agreed. Not enough to seriously compete for the west but they won’t be the joke they’ve been for the past few years.
They improved at RB, OL and a couple spots on D. The new coaching staff there couldn’t be any worse.
Still an underwhelming QB, mediocre receiving corps, not much of a DL.
Plus, **** ‘em. 9-9 at best.

To be fair there’s 5 or 6 OL like that bouncing around at any given time.
I swear there was a different Eric Lofton at one point too -
I think you might be confusing Lofton with Jamar McGloster
Lofton was with Ottawa in 2017, then BC, Edm, here, then Sask.

Lofton stunk here too though.
The concern is that he becomes the next Jackson.
If the jags cut ayo oyelola I wouldn’t mind if we brought him back for global depth.
I doubt it. There’s already a guy with much more pedigree brought in as well.
If he was going to be that, I think they’d have kept him over Richmond.

It’s not like they’re paying him starter money. It’s a TC body at worst.

he is a stud....had a string of games/snaps where he didnt allow a sack or a penalty...was a phenomenal amount...off top my head cant recall
WhatI do know is has good feet and athleticism for a big guy...likes to get in second level on runs and cause havoc too....could be the replacement....also has experience at guard too
I know highlight tape is cherry-picked but man that guy just looks like a monster at the second level

More like ran it back for two years then ran it and fumbled on the 1 for the other two.
The better team prevailed on those days but it still pisses me off that we weren't able to close out those other two Cups.
Especially 22 in hindsight.
23 we were outcoached all game and outplayed in crunch time by a team on a roll.
22 was a game that Bombers gave away and had no business losing. -
Tyrell Ford back. Huge.

A lot of football also players enjoy what they do to a point, but their love and passion is for another sport.
Andrew Harris for example was a hockey player first.I just heard an interview with HOF lineman Anthony Munoz, he said his first love was baseball and really only chose football because of his size.
I’m sure that’s more common than we realize too.
In any occupation, the amount of people that truly love what they do is smaller than you’d think. It just so happens this is one that we idolize as fans.

When I was 8, Ken Ploen sat in front of me and my Dad at a game. I had a huge Pepsi with a bad lid, and I spilled it down the bench and all over Ken and his wife.
I apologized and he smiled and said “don’t worry about it” but they went to clean up and never came back.. Dad was mortified.Sorry about that again Mr. Ploen. Rest easy.

BC to me got a bit better again. Robertson is a solid replacement for Betts, and I’m a little nervous at the prospect of the Lions figuring out how to run the ball tbh.
Edmonton improved at QB and ST. Not enough to be a contender. Worst HC in the league. Bad lines.
Calgary made a mess of their offence last year and didn’t do anything to clean it up. Going all in on McCheese has got to be the dumbest decision in the last decade, from any team.
I can’t see them winning more than 5 games this year as everything stands right now. -
I actually think the Riders will be relatively decent IE not total garbage like last year. They’ll win some games in the summer again before the wheels fall off.
9-9 is probably the ceiling with a QB like Harris, but I don’t see them being worse than Calgary or Edmonton. -

I assume that punter is staying because we need him as a global with Hansen gone. And we'll try and run 2 each game so that we can have the extra roster spot that comes with it...
That other punter on last years PR might be around too. Name escapes me, he was a bit older.
By all accounts he can boom them, and has a more traditional style.I thought Jake Kelly was very good in his limited reps last year. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t take over a larger ST role.

Judge is better than Bighill imo at least now.
Yeah, at this point in their careers I’ll concede that. Still feel strongly the Bombers have the better overall group.

You'd think the former Argos would rather have gone to the Riders to be with Mace.
I'd take their linebackers over ours. If you think they're scrounging thru garbage bins then what about our Front 7?
I wouldn’t. Judge and Bighill are a wash. Teitz isn’t anything special. Awe racks up tackles but a cheap shot artist.
Herdman-Reid and Konar are meh, rather have Kramdi than either of those guys.
I’d take Wilson and Cole over anyone over there.

Is it really a great trade if it never happened? Walby was on the d-line with Montreal but they released him as a paperwork type of move and we swooped in & signed him.
Right. Montreal were putting Walby on and off the PR without telling him. The first couple times, he cleared waivers and they re-added him to the AR.
Someone from the Bombers caught wind of it and swooped in to sign him. -

love me some big Stan but I think the very first piece of the turnaround was the 2013 Alex Hall for Neufeld trade.
Hall put up seven sacks for the Roughriders in nineteen games. In return, we got a Canadian OL starter for a decade.
I think that was Walters' first trade. Nice debut.
Overpaying for Nic Moore that offseason was a big deal for the turnaround too.
He wasn’t the greatest or anything but it showed the club had changed mentality and was willing to open the wallet. It was the first time in like a decade a sought-after FA didn’t turn them down.

Haven’t heard one way or the other about Clements, but he’s another guy I’d like to see them bring back. He’s been steadily improving.

I recall him writing an article calling for the fans to boycott the Bombers.
I recall him and Weicek sitting at like 5 TCs in a row not watching a single thing before writing sensationalistic anti-Bomber drivel twice a week.

That game should have been over on the strip sack earlier in the drive.
The ball came out when Fajardo’s hand was next to his hip and the command centre called it an incomplete pass.
