There’s lots of things through history people thought they saw that they didn’t. I mean I get it’s the internet where Walmart greeters are doctors online and experts on everything but who the **** some of you kidding with your I know it all ****. You don’t know. None of us do.
interesting Dinwiddie quote for those that wondered what happened.
It had nothing to do with Mark. There’s a pretender that’s not in our building anymore that was chirping all game, personally, to me. And then there’s a coach that was chirping very personable (sic), and I took offence to it,” Dinwiddie told 3DownNation contributor Griff Bordignon. “I knew that’s what my plan was once we put ’em away. Those guys can enjoy the offseason.”
Uh, did we not all see him get smoked in the head?

Yup. Elks still learning how to win. They ain’t there yet. They were handed basically 28 points and lost. If Zach is back soon (this week even) I like our chances more. If we relying on Strev or Wilson to win games, yeah not as optimistic
turns out zachs injury is neck and not concussion either so bet he’s back soon. Unless of course Zach has some thoughts of retiring but didn’t look like it. He was throwing the ball pre game yesterday yawning on the sidelines.
Who made that diagnosis? The Easter Bunny? No f’n way it’s anything but a concussion, we all saw that play.

WJ can...he is good at the dent too but like u said at times after just looks for the knockdown...now is that what they want him to do? Contain or hold his spot and try making qb beat our stupid 9 guys in coverage in a soft zone and knock ones down? I'm almost thinking so
Garbutt was good at it...but we let him walk for who knows why
If you wanna go and see good instruction and details about dline play go check out...as @Goalie says...one my "boys" website... Craig Roh....RIP brother...and then see what our cdn duds lack in the middle
I hope it’s this, I’d hate to think his pass rushing skill and/or effort fell off that fast. Like look how he played in the 19 and 24 GC’s. Either he doesn’t want to do that all the time or it’s what you said and it’s schemed that way.
The 19 GC is one of my all time favourite sequences in a Bomber game. Where for some reason Ticats have Brandon Banks of all people try to chip him. WJ knocks Banks spinning into next week, kills Evans, takes a RTP, then next play kills Evans again for a strip sack. The game was ours from then on
Also yes RIP Craig Roh. From what I heard just an all around great person. Tragic.

How so? Optimistically I see 3 more wins this season and ending up 9-9. Which should be good enough for 3rd. We have the series on BC and if we beat the elks we would have the series on them as well.
I’m not sure we can win any more games this year the way it’s looked lately.
Maybe Ottawa, maybe Montreal here. I don’t see them beating Saskatchewan, Edmonton or Hamilton regardless of where the game is.

He gets enough reps inside doing nothing...and then stick him outside where he has no hope. You need hands kills...speed...be able to bend and get under a tackle ...run a force...dent and disrupt and get off to engage a ball carrier
All that is not in his repetoire
Do any of our DL have the ability to bend and get under a tackle besides Person?
Willie just backpedals or shifts over and goes for the knockdown most of the time, Vaughters doesn’t get much pressure at all and everyone else pretty much bull rushes with not much success. -

He will do whatever is asked of him...and doing at 110 percent...hes the epitome of team guy...so yeah..he'd do it
That being said all qbs here deserve the chance next yr with a legit system...legit playmaker...and legit oline...then make those decisions
This is key. Agree he could play that role if he’s fully healthy. All year he still clearly hasn’t been.
Wilson has looked way more capable in the short set this season- Piggy 1, rebusrankin and Blue28

Wild to think that this will most likely be the first west final since 2017 without the Bombers in it

Can't remember which one, Darby I think. A move that was heavily criticized by some beating the drum for changes now too.
I remember Darby falling off the cliff that year and everyone wanted him off the roster. I think Rutledge hit a wall or something and he was a surprise mid-season cut as well. I can’t remember which one Kramdi replaced either.
I don’t mind Kramdi at all honestly, he’s serviceable, but to me more of a complimentary piece. I think the biggest problem on D is lacking any major impact player. It’s a bunch of lunchpail guys and 2-3 liabilities.
That’s where I think we need to test out Connor Shay for one, he should at least be able to show flashes at this point.
Jonathan Jones also isn’t an unknown, we know the guy can play MLB as well or better than what we have, we saw it when he was an Argo.

I can think of a few in that regard as well. Evan Holm, Redha Kramdi just off the top of my head got their jobs this way.
Kramdi, right. He came in for Alden Darby or maybe Rutledge Jr?
I wish historical depth charts were easier to find. -

I can think of many times rookies won jobs out of camp. Try harder.
Of course out of camp. We were specifically talking about replacing established vets in season

when have we seen with this current management/coaching group a vet guy cut for a young guy/new guy that was shocking?? I cannot think of 1. Happens elsewhere...or a guy gets pushed into a backup role
thats how we got T.jones for example...cause Edm saw the potential and upside in a rookie....so cut him...how that work out...R.O.Y or something?
Closest thing to that happening was Jeff Hecht getting replaced by BA, but even then BA was in his 3rd year and had been playing a different position and Hecht wasn’t cut, just benched.
I can’t think of another time in season. -

Can someone summarize the story in today's Free Press as to why Ken Lawler left the Bombers? There's a paywall so I can't read the story.
It’s a pretty long article but it basically says he felt disrespected by Bomber management.
“For the star receiver, it boiled down to one main thing: disrespect.
“Y’all signed Dillon Mitchell before me. Who wouldn’t (feel disrespected)?” Lawler shared with the Free Press on Thursday in a one-on-one chat inside Hamilton Stadium.”
…
Now a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Lawler said he didn’t receive a contract offer from the Bombers until a day before free agency opened at the start of February. His agent only had two brief conversations with Winnipeg, where the club was more focused on gauging the market value for a receiver of his calibre.
For Lawler, there was a more personal issue that needed to be addressed.
The two-time division all-star from Pomona, Calif. — who moved his family up to Winnipeg — had been doing some work on the side helping the city’s grassroots football scene before running into a roadblock.
“It’s not that (the Bombers) didn’t want me to do it — they wanted me to do it under them. They closed my work permit,” Lawler explained.
“I have my own business where I go and run camps and I was starting to do that and was getting momentum and when I had to get my work permit closed it was like, ‘hmm, why is this happening?’ You know what I want to do, I live here in Winnipeg, the full year, and if I am going to be taking a pay cut, which I was doing when I was in Winnipeg the whole time, I’m going to need something else to be able to supplement that. It’s not that I need it, it’s that I want to be able to start it so when I’m done with football I can still live where I’m at and transition right into something else and someone wasn’t seeing that.”
When asked who, specifically, wasn’t on board, Lawler responded with: “I think that’s a question you might have to ask them. And it probably wouldn’t be to anyone that you could probably get an (interview from).”

We are probably gonna hafta suffer with Mitchell for the rest of the season so that O'Shea can rub Walters' nose in it.
What a crappy offseason we had. Just think about all the WRs on the market and we ended up with a damaged Schoen, Mitchell, Sterns and Reggie White Jr who didn’t even make it out of camp.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how good Kevin Glenn was in his prime?
He was as very good as you can get without being great. 07 was by far his best year, it’s a such a shame how it turned out.
The knee injury he had in 2006 gets forgotten too, he was a pretty good threat with his legs before that. -

Houston for Vaval so that later can focus on returns is a nice move. Ayers is still a poor use of a roster spot. Would have liked to see Echols in for Mitchell and Cobb for Corcoran. I'd have removed Woodby too.
Echols for Mitchell would have been good.
I’d have left Woodby, taken Ayers off for Woods and Ball or Hallett off for Bailey

The other thing about that clip... man we could use a quick release like Glenn had these days.
Let us not forget his burning of Davin Bush for 4 tds.
Davin Bush lol. I’d almost forgotten about his stint here as the practice monster

Sorry gotta call this out..we made it to the Grey cup last year..yea we lost but that ain't mediocrity...the bar is so high around here it's kinda sad..has everyone forgot how many years of crap we put up with before this regime took over?
Sure, of course. A kick in the ass is better than a kick in the junk undoubtedly.
Thing to me is that we likely would have won 5 cups in a row instead of just getting to them if some of these red flag issues had been dealt with over the last 2-3 years.- Bigblue204 and Piggy 1

Worman was 2001 and Lapo in 2002. I also seem to recall that Khari and Milt had such a connection that they adlibbed a lot.
2000 as well the offence was coming into form with Khari, Milt, Simon, Gordon.
IIRC there was 2 co-co-ordinators that year
