Lets look at some of how our Teams been acting in the last 4 years. Have they made many mistakes?
 
Is there any record of them assessing players wrong? Has their course of draft, develop go off? Do they acknowledge how much leadership is important in the room?
 
We dont really see the room... And Buff from all accounts adds lots to the room and the younger guys. This may fall into the develop category for our team.
 
The over all talk from everyone envolved is the room is good.
 
Long term for Buff is 4 years at 5.5.  And i bet he takes it.

Doesn't change anything. He's not going to say he is going to do his best to re-sign them long term if he isn't. He could have said something like "we'll see how goes in the off-season" or "I don't want to comment about specific players" or whatever. 

Not with the top guys, but Chiarot, Pardy, and Harrison both played both sides.
 
And just because the Jets didn't do it with their top guys doesn't mean they didn't consider it and can't in the future.

my 2 cents; being a friend of the taman family, I don't trust or respect police.  Cant say 100% if this was racially motivated but you can definitely say the cop overreacted,  be it on a power trip or just fed up with a punk resisting arrest and on a bad day,  and for that the cop should be tried for murder 2,  probably would at most get manslaughter,  but reality is will get house arrest.

I think the Frolik scenario is a possibility.  Chevy isn't the type to paint himself into absolutes like that.
 
If they can't agree to terms on an extension, they may still decide there is value in having him play-out his final year here.  I know everyone is always about never losing an asset for nothing,  but there is an intrinsic value in him playing one more year here.  One more year to bridge the time for some of the younger defence prospects  to develop, even if it means him moving to the left side.
 
Our prospect cupboard isn't as bare as it was when the team first got here, they may decide that one more year of being a legit contender for a playoff spot is worth more to the growth of the "new' core then what they could get for Byfuglien.
 
It really comes down to what other teams are willing to pay.   I don't think they would move him for pure picks and prospects.  There would have to be at least one legit roster player coming back (top 6 or top 6 potential for a forward would be nice).    
 
I also don't think Chevy will trade him if he doesn't get back what he perceives as fair value.  If the market isn't what he wants, he will keep him the extra year. That could change depending on what happens with Frolik and Stafford.  If we can't re-sign either of them, then a top 6 forward really becomes a priority.  
 
I wouldn't mind seeing him moved, but I don't even know what a fair return would be.  RH defensemen is an area of strength for the team right now.  Out of the 3, Buff is the obvious one to go due to age and contract.  
 
Too many unknowns at this point to really say he has to re-sign or he will be traded.

Buff has not played well at all but that's not even close to a suspension. Jesus man. NEM is right about you. Blame this guy. Blame that guy. He should be suspended this that. Why not just come to the conclusion the ducks are good. The jets are too. All 3 of these games could have gone either way. Ducks are just better right now. Buff suspended. Should make a bet. If he isn't you don't post here for a month. If he is I won't.

I dont think now is the right time to start moving guys around. See what you can do having last change first.
 
Even with Buff and Ladd kinda MIA i dont think we are being out played by a huge margin...  I think they will be ready to go tonight in the storm of white.....  Try matching lines first then if its still not working maybe try moving a few guys around and see what that does.

Both the Sportsnet guys and the TSN panel were talking about the missed calls and how blatantly obvious they were. Those missed calls had a direct impact on the outcome of the game. If the Ducks are so good they should be able to win without the assistance from the officials.

Think he will go to a crap team for more money?
 
How much is more money for a guy like him anyway? Youd think around 4ish is what a guy like him is worth. How much more will he get?
 
Will he go to TO for 4.5? or stay here at 4? Is that money worth all the loosing or all the winning? 
 
Offer them what our fair value is and what they are worth.

Saw people on twitter asking about "Jump" and whether it was being saved for the first playoff game.  Any chance the team enters to Jump?  I always thought they were saving those 1.0 things for a retro night or something but I can imagine the crowd going even more ape if that song hits.  At least those of us who equate Jump with the Jets and nothing else.

Pardy has good moments and really bad giveaways behind our net...  Maurice does like him though

Not going to go round and round on this because you don't seem to want to hear it so let me just say that if a white policeman shot and killed an unarmed white guy in Winnipeg in a similar manner to what happened in South Carolina, it would most certainly get play across Canada, which is the country where it took place.  We call that national coverage.  Would it get play on CNN, I suspect it would.  But seeing that white cops shooting unarmed white suspects doesn't happen all that often, we might have to wait a long time to find out.

It would be nice to win tomorrow and end it there. Let Pavelec sit the final game of the season.
