This is always the most important thing... It's such a short window between the NFL draft and ours, making an already difficult task practically Herculean for the CFL GMs... As always, I just hope we take the best "CFL Now" OL available when our pick comes...

It will be interesting to see who gets drafted in the NFL and who gets FA deals.

That guy is a talent that demands a call and consideration from every team in the league. He'd instantly elevate any DL considerably.
  4. I would have thought most vet posters here would be super offended to have their name put together with Nasty Nate to create a love child.
  5. 2 cups and (I believe) 2 MODPs here... Absolute ******* legend status. A no-doubter to go out as a Bomber. First ballot to every HOF possible.
  6. Yes but as BC sucks and will continue to suck it all checks out. :)
  7. One day contract so Biggie can retire as a Bomber.

as mentioned the 8th guy can be a nationalized American and we have multiple options as to who to use there I also agree I'd be shocked if Wallace/Eli/Neuf are not the 3 starter on the oline...and it serves us much better roster wise if we do that. On defense then we only have to have 1 Canadian on the field on any given play and we have so many nice moveable pieces on defense who are imports we could really have a crazy good defense...and thats without seeing who we have brought in who are new. And I know a lot here think Kramdi is all that and then some but he is probably looking at our roster the 4th best option we could put at SAM....I dont care how smart they say he is...and that he knows all the positions....doesn't make him default good/the best...Stick him at safety and let him focus his smarts in one spot and be the best safety he could be...even that being said he isn't even the best option for there as well. He's a nice piece you can rotate in and around the defence and in situational spots and is a bonus to have on the roster....but he is not the best secondary player in our roster...not even close Unless some rookie draft pick or second yr guy really blows the competition away in camp Our starting 7 true Nationals should be Demski...Bo...Neild..Eli..Neuf..Wallace and Lawson on defence as our declared starting Canadians....and pick one of whoever you want as the 8th nationalized one Starting any more than that and giving lionshare of reps...just cause is pointless and doesn't make us better...Use your 7 best and sub accordingly....and start your best 17 imports, and again sub accordingly....You can if you have quality starter type Canadian back-ups sub in then for an import on some sets/schemes and or to spell off Lawson...Thats where kramdi is key/essential and hopefully where Smith..Shay..Bailey get work too And not to pile on him...but look at his stats as a starter....his take aways...tackles...ff's...etc....Is that production worthy of his pay and his reps?....With all the reps he gets and the spot he plays...where the SAM is , or should be involved in a heck of a lot of plays during a game...his stats pale in comparison to pretty much every other SAM in the league...but he is paid the most...make that make sense to me

Helle said exactly what every guy in that locker room is thinking. Is it the fact he said it out loud that people are angry about?
  10. He's made a pretty good situation here from what I understand. He does a lot of work with coaching football too. I would be surprised if he leaves anytime soon.
  11. If Nasty Nate and @Noeller had a love child, it might be this guy. Just need a nickname for him now...
  12. I thought so too but maybe 2 Cups here versus 1 in BC plus he still lives here had something to do with it.
  13. I think its a smart move by Biggie if he plans on continuing to live in the Peg. I can see more opportunities for him if he has a Bomber hat on instead of a Lions.
  14. Bombers have signed linebacker Matthew Jackson. He spent some time on the practice roster at the end of the season.
  15. Just the best dude in the community, too. We were at Stella's prior to one of the many West Finals and had our back to the place so didn't even see him, but he came up and tapped us on the shoulder because my wife was wearing his jersey and wanted to chat. Asked us if we wanted it signed and was happy to get a picture taken. I lost my wife to him that day...
  16. Love this... his last year or two wasn't all that memorable... but the first 3/4 seasons he played here were absolutely epic... he was a huge part of the turnaround and ending the championship drought... Congrats Biggie!
  17. It wasn't about work visas. The CFL's roster rules are illegal in the US. No business in the USA can have rules that reserve roster / staff spots for foreigners. -- a semi-related story -- When I was returning to Seattle from the 2024 Grey Cup, I told the USA border guard that I'd been up in Vancouver watching Canadian football. "That's the league with a Canadian quota?" he asked. I told him yes, he was right. "Doesn't work like that down in the States, only the best play," he said. What I wanted to say was "I hear that's how the Border Patrol works too," but I did not say that.
  18. ******* legend... Now sign him as some kinda coach/front office guy.
  19. An all time great!! Looking forward to what he does for amateur football in MB.
  20. Thank you for your service to the Bombers. Adam. You werea beast in your prime. I thought you might retire as a BC Lion. Glad you picked us.
  21. Kind of a side bar....but Brady O's new TV show is up and running on CBC Gem. I plan on checking it out at some point this week.
  22. Just to keep beating a dead horse. Birmingham traded their star QB. Elgersma may have had a chance to start had he been able to get a visa.
  23. Short yardage is 99% having a brain and effort. KG was the best short-yardage QB we've seen. Wasn't worth the injuries, though. Currently, yeah in modern terms. 2016 is the next best right now. That year didn't pan out as aggressively as it could've but it gave us a massive and badly needed influx of ni talent at the right positions. (Loffler, Corney, Couture, and Gauthier.) 2024 has the potential to be that kind of draft for us as well. Wallce, MCI, Clercius, Leroux, and if Manu hits it up here.
  24. Amazing draft, especially considering how much of a crap shoot it really is. For example I was reading the article about a look at former first overall players in the CFL draft since 2019 and over half of them are out of the league already, and the only all star is Richardson who was a special teams all star. Every single one of six players from the Bombers are still in the league. It’s just wild.

Intelligent people assume....wouldn't put it past the CFL to announce cap penalties after the draft or something stupid. Can't waste anytime when there are 55 yard lines to remove from fields.
