Around The League Regular Season Discussion

Per @JDunk12: Esks, Riders talking trade. EDM wants No. 1 pick Josiah St. John AND a first for QB James Franklin. SSK, coherently, declined.

Ed Hervey vs. Chris Jones is going to be a real thing to keep your eye on over the coming weeks and months.

To reach for two first round picks, including No. 1 overall, in return for a back-up QB with a handful of pro starts is... hilarious, really

Injuries have kind of changed things wouldn't you say?

Sure changed from your stance before the season that the Riders had good Canadian depth.

Playing 3 rookies on the oline kind of changes the look of the ratio for us. Only 2 Canadians and one is a rookie.  We obviously planned on 3 starting NI`s there which would have made things work. Also Francis at safety has been a disaster, I thought Newman or Webster would be there. Our Canadian content isn`t the reason we are losing

The Riders have TWO decent Canadian players - Bagg & Labatte. Everyone else including Capicotti is meh.

That's what depth does it helps you survive injuries.

I have always given the Bomber fans full credit for supporting the team. That's not news

The national media & TSN doesn't. It's all Rider Nation. The so called "best fans" in the CFL.

I heard on the radio today that the Eskimos and Riders are hard after Martin, but he wants to stay in the East. If he does go west, it will be for big bucks.

Esks and Riders are equally desperate, but the Esks probably have the  cap room that the Riders no longer have. Besides, how would it look if the riders threw a urine receptacle of money at Martin, considering the mess they are in?

Surprised the Riders haven't signed the CFL's best athlete, yet....

Argos just released Brian Bulcke ... making room for Vaugn Martin, perhaps ?

Should we be interested with Bulcke or he's a damaged good already ?

Constantly injured... not sure he would provide much value to us, depending on salary expectations... certainly he's not an upgrade on Shologan or Thomas.

I was certainly interested in Bulcke when he was a free agent a few years ago... unfortunately Sleepy Joe wasn't interested in free agents... not so sure about today...

To me, Shologan/Thomas is a more than adequate rotation for the Canadian DT spot.

Vaughn Martin probably lands in Toronto

while Bulcke might land back to Hamilton

The best thing for everybody involved, is for Brian Bulcke to retire....preferably 24 hours after signing with Saskatchewan.

there'd probably be a signing bonus in there too

Sadly, our current run game isn't any better than Grigbsy at the the moment.

I hope Walters can put a wrench to that... how about a sign and trade from the Bombers to Riders... then he retires 24 hours after the trade. :D

Bulcke goes to the marked Regina house address....and finds it padlocked....

or he knocks on the door, and Rod Pedersen peaks his head out and says "what's wrong with you??  Back door entrance only!!!"

Except you're certainly NOT heading for the promised land...

And in Saskatchewan, it would be the Above Ground Dog Track.

Somebody got confused...and pointed the tracks, the wrong way....
