"Innovative young coach" is exactly the description of Mike O'Shea when we brought him here, and back then there was a whole lot of "tired of bringing in rookies with no experience in top positions" w

  • I'll say one thing - I'd rather have Lapo than be searching for guys like BC and Edmonton are now stuck doing.

  • Sure we need better OL play, a complementary RB, and more size/speed at receiver.   But our O was really poorly designed from the get-go:   Every run play a form of stretch play, with the RB coming

Cool how he signed it on video

On one hand, the man has failed here twice before which makes me less than excited. On the other hand the lack of experienced, capable offensive playcallers speaks for itself currently. We got the second best (I don't buy Cortez is retiring) person out there that has experience, but he's still a B level coordinator at my best in my opinion.

Holly surprise, not.

I have come around to Lapolice excited to see the changes he brings to the offence.

It's nice that we have two experienced coordinators now under Osh at least. Both with success in Saskatchewan funny enough.

Sigh......I like Lapo, as a person, but I really don't believe this is the best choice that could be made. It's more than a little concerning.....

Meeeeeehhhhhhhh

Anyone is better than Marcel B so this is positive news i guess

We know what the changes will be. Build leads, decent rush stats, good play action calls, and ultra conservative in the fourth quarter with leads which is bound to cost us a couple games a season.

Say hello to your next GM/HC, lol. Actually, I'd take Paul over Walters/O'Shea any day in those roles.

Shaking and a-sighin...

Nah, just kidding.

That was fast.

All's I can say is...if Paul LaPolice is big enough to accept being fired here...twice, and is willing to put himself out there again, then I should consider accepting this and moving forward also.

Welcome aboard. Looking forward to Drew Willy having a hell of a good year!

Yuck indeed. Just what we didn't need... another nice guy who's failed many times before to run a vanilla offense and who gets QB's killed.

Wait until the first time we punt the ball away next year.  Confirmation of a disastrous choice...

The "anybody but Bellefeuille effect". Is Lapo better? 100 per cent, without question than Marcel. Is he good enough to get the job done? Not a chance.

I don't hate it. But it's just so boring.

I'm gonna just guess that we will see a new and improved lapolice as OC. Think the time away probably helped him.

I guess he interviewed better than the other few guys.

I for one am glad that he won't be in charge of whether or not to give up a safety.  Death by a thousand deuces when he was HC...

wow I don't know how to feel, on the one hand, he did get us to the grey cup once, on the other hand, the last time he was here.....why couldn't they bring Doug Berry back again? well either way welcome back Lapo, I kind of missed you and hopefully things will be better and hopefully not like the 2012 season

Berry is like 100 years old

He was the OC of the best offence this team has had in its entire 80+ history

Not too hard when you have Charles Roberts and Milt Stegall in their primes. He was still getting chewed out by Milt and Khari Jones a number of times on the sidelines in his first go around as OC here which I remember quite vividly as my season tickets at the old stadium were behind the Bomber bench.
