  • Remember when we refused to sign Messam when he was free?

  • No. But.. really this signing is irrelevant, they don't run the ball anyways.

  • Yes but they're doing it backwards. They like to start with the small fast guy then use the big strong guy later, they should be pounding the big guy early and then when the D is tired burn em with th

Not surprised by this in the least.

Ugh. Gross. Do your ******* job Walters and find a guy who can play, there's only about a million runningbacks in the states looking for work.

^^ yeah, basically.

Stuff like this makes me cringe. Walters needs to rely on fresh faces a bit more often. Chevon Walker was absolutely awful in Ottawa.

People complained about Mack never signing FAs or retreads, and Walters likely does it too much, relying less on recruiting than Mack. Need something more in the middle...

I've been trying to stay optimistic all season... with every going on this past week... I'm starting to lose it...

Alright, I'm over this season.

Over and out?

This is Marcel living in the past, I said it last season too, the team had Marcel stink all over it, makes you wonder who is really calling the shots.

They couldn't find anybody better? Gross.

No kidding. I like when we go out and see Walters making moves Mack would've never made like Jasper Simmons or Stanley Bryant but holy **** do we really need to sign every Chevon Walker and Dom Picard along the way?

They should have sign Will Ford or Chris Garrett instead.... and I will be happy with it.

Not a huge fan of this move but I do appreciate that we are not standing pat with the current roster.

No, truthfully they should have signed an actual brand new talent instead.

Even though some of them have worked out, this regime has given meaningful carries to a grand total of ONE running back that wasn't on his second or third look at the CFL.

Paris Cotton couldn't even make Hamilton, Nic Grigsby was in Toronto (or BC I believe) for a bit of a training camp, then we were going to trot out Tyler Thomas and now Chevon Walker?

Cam Marshall seems to be the only entirely fresh face. It's getting old.

Walters can't scout americans

At least they recognize they are not getting the production out of the RB position that they should however, I too don't see Chevy as the answer to that problem.

It's bizarre since rbs are dime a dozen...

There has to be a tonne of NFL cuts they could bring in?

I didn't know Cotton was in Hamilton. Interesting. So it's not just QB's being released from other teams we're bringing in, it's cuts from other teams. No wonder we are what we are lol. Though I don't mind Walker as much as others as he has proven he can play in this league (prior to his injuries anyway) so lets see what he does here. One thing for sure, he won't be worse that what we already have, including one Paris Cotton who wasn't doing much prior to breaking arm save one good game.

I'm not totally against this, as long as we use his skills properly. Knowing MB though, I won't be surprised when we watch him on 2nd and 4, take a hand off from shotgun.

Happy Silver Anniversary! :(

Right up the gut.

UGH. Another nail in the coffin.

I'm not a huge fan of this, but if we're planning on going with Thunder & Lightning still, we need a lightning with Cotton out, so Walker is okay I guess.

What if Walker is that unexpected add that teams sometimes use to get over the hump and turn their season around like Butch Goring was to the 1980 NY Islanders? Nah ... ;)

Hopefully we wise up and start to lean on, and use Marshall in an effective manner. The guy is a beast and the type of back who with the more work he gets in game, the more he will produce. Powerful runner and he literally pounds the defence and wears them down. Have yo ever seen him go down on first contact? He reminds me a lot of Willard Reaves on his style of play, and come cold weather and late in season when defences are getting nicked and worn down he will be extremely effective. Totally under utilized this year, and especially as a receiving threat.

Get him in open space with room to start thundering downhill...Christ silly we haven't done that more. The times we have it's been money.

Walker, not a feature back by any means, but if used right, swings, pitchouts, screens, he can be very effective. Guy has speed to burn and could add a dimension out of backfield we don't have right now.

Maybe the being cut and the embarrassment will light a fire under him. The first few years in Hamilton when he was used right Walker was pretty good
