The question is... how much longer can O'Shea get away with the ol'  New coach lacking experience excuse for these kinds of mistakes?

 

I'm not saying the countdown is on him yet but yeesh these are really basic rookie mistakes that should not be happening still.

Well not what I wanted to hear (was hoping it was a clock issue) but it's a coaching issue.

It's one point loss in a place where we have won once in the last 14 years to the defending cup champions. Relax its a long season.

It's one thing to lose a hard fought game another to give it away on a play that should never happen with 2 minutes to go.

He's right, but that doesn't help the situation.  Gotta make the call in the game when the chips are down.  He had the 'I'm a new HC' excuse last year, but he can't use that anymore. 

O'Shea and company are perilouly close to the point where coaching errors and blown player assignments can be forgiven as growing pains or rookie mistakes. After awhile "mea culpas" are an admission of incompetence. This game was winnable except for the Bombers as a whole giving it away and we've had way too much of that sort of thing. Its even time to question how good our scouting has been.

After no cups for 25 years, no playoffs in 5 out of 6 and frankly 4 decent years out of the last 11, we're all pissed off. We've heard the excuses, we've seen the miscues, its just aggravating.

Why can Mitchell snap the ball when the play clock shows zero and no call and yet when it's willy on the nose (not that we had a clock to watch in his instance..) we get hooped?

Also, how far offside was Rogers on his TD? There was a ton of reasons why we lost this game but to pile on Oshea because he missed a timeout call is a little messed up. Lirim and stods did more to cause this loss IMO.

I agree it's a shitty loss. I think we're going in the right direction. Ultimately the wins vs losses will decide that though
