CFL Posted February 3, 2015 Report Share Posted February 3, 2015 Draft picks aren't automatically starters for two primary reasons 1) they may not be ready to start and 2) coaches are often afraid to start them. A great exceptin was LaBatte but he was ready to play and fortunately or unfortunately if you choose to think that it was only because Sheridan got hurt ( again). Stolen... by a stupid teammate who held when he shouldn't have & it cost him his historic touchdown. HIS touchdown. Not the team's but HIS. How dare that guy steal his limelight. How could that guy have been sooooo stupid? It was just too much to bear. And to go back on the field after that before he could pound his fists & have a good cry? Like right away???!!
