I feel like, if it was a talent issue... There's no way they would have broken camp with this collection of guys. So it has to be more about scheme and possibly some execution of that scheme.

All of that to say that I think it's fixable... But maybe that's blue and gold coloured glasses.

100% agree. We need some tweaks to personnel and coaching. but they will get there. Its very frustrating to watch the same cycle unfold, though.

Kramdi wasn't brutal at S, but I think he should go back to sam. I thought hed be better at the S spot, but going back to last year it just doesn't work well. Could just start griffin at wil and let him play the snaps he always used to in rotation as well as more traditional wil stuff.

Kramdi is the guy out there directing the D. Essentially it appears he’s the Bighill of the D. It was him telling guys where to line up when they look confused. Perhaps having him closer to the LOS would help. Just looks like lots of confusion on D, guys visibly looking like they aren’t sure of their assignments or guys defending routes that aren’t being run. My guess, it’s a bit 2 complicated and JY needs to Keep it simple stupid. But what killed us in the end wasn’t Bo and the passing game. Dude threw for 287 ish? Had like 4 explosion plays really. But what killed us was we couldn’t stop the run. Guys couldn’t tackle. If dudes made tackles at first contact lots of times those drives probably die but Kyrie jones etc were just getting owned. Fletcher appeared to be over matched significantly on the DL. Ceresna gets 3 sacks all on the inside last week. Let’s move him outside.

Someone said it best maybe it was @JohnnyAbonny but I feel JY would also put Wayne Gretzky in net.

He has basically been the captain of the D since biggie left. He adjusted and got guys set previously at sam as well.

Actually, could just play kramdi at wil too. He loves being in the box.

Kramdi was one of the guys out there who actually did make plays. They all got beat but dude made some plays also. Him and Reese and Williams. I thought that was kind of a bogus PI on him as lawler was falling down on his own. I got a kick out of O’Shea pretending to explain to him why it’s a penalty tho.

I’d look at replacing Moxey (he got beat bad last week also) Nichols (looks cooked) Kyrie and or Jones and I’d look at bringing in some legit DT.

But I think I’d have a chat with JY and remind him Richie is still here.

I may look at Eli at center if 100 Percent healthy and dress an American receiver eventho 6 of the top 8 receivers yesterday were bombers and lawler had 3 maybe 4 more yards than Cobb on 1 extra catch also.

Wheatfall had a game but receivers weren’t an issue at all last night or through 2 games.

Jesus. Looking at the PR. Maybe texada for Moxey.

HAZEN for Kyrie?

Cuz ya that’s basically it. What the heck. We have 2 lbs on the pr and neither are middle guys.

Big Stan looks a little bit of chicken fried himself, not quite cooked fully but getting there and no tackles on the PR either. Maybe Poncious tho

4 receivers on the PR why

This teams use of the PR is odd.

I’m also gonna, when talking oline I think lots of times we talk of guys like Stan and broxxton types but it appears that the true perhaps anchor on our line is Pat Neufeld. Last year it was him and Randolph opening up holes and protecting Zach the best. This year it’s him and broxxton while Stan and Gabe struggle again.

At half time the ticats 2nd down conversion rate was just under 75%. That's absurd.

And unacceptable if you have high expectations of our defense.

The turning point was the INT by Collaros (which was a horrible decision on his part. Like shockingly bad). I'm not saying Collaros is the reason we lost, but when your D can't stop anything or anyone, you just can't afford a turnover in scoring position. Our O did play well enough for us to win. Our D would have lost the game to some U sports teams. No run defense, couldn't stop the same damn thing over and over and over. Hamiltons passing game consisted of running to the sticks and turning around, and waiting for one v one on the outside and letting the Rec play fetch. Maybe the worst pass defense I've seen in 10+ years. It was embarrassing. No one seemed to know what was happening multiple times and the DL wasn't relevant at all because it was 4 vs 6 basically all night.

As others have said, our LBs are essentially pathetic. Jones/Wilson can't tackle in open space and can barely tackle with help. Jones is awful in pass coverage but he's trotted out there time and time again in those situations.

Milanovach made JY his ***** and completely exposed his defense all night.

And another example of MOS needing to be better with his challenge flag in how he uses it and what he focusses on.

To be fair that was pi there, refs just change the rules from play to play cuz if that’s not pi how is Williams on lawler.

Where is this eye in the sky for late hits on star QBs. They call down cuz bombers are 2 feet short but low hit on QB, nah. It’s just a guessing game. Rule changes are fine. Inconsistent dumb refs tho? That’s this leagues biggest problem and has been for years. Play to play you really aren’t sure what is and what isn’t gonna be called.

Neither team played defence last night. Tons of big plays for both offences. Receivers on both teams were wide open, and the QB's got them the ball. Looks like both teams will need to score 30 points to win.

Or tighten up their D to assist in winning more than they lose.

Bombers D is concerning cuz in 8 quarters they have like 4 2 and outs. And a whole bunch of points against.

And hate to say it, if Sergio gonna be doinking FG attempts better get Lidster on the PR quick. Could play another American elsewhere.

Considering the Keystone Kops routine for most of the game, I suggest it is far too early to judge Kramdi's performance.

So yeah the total passing numbers weren't huge... but the troubling part is that whenever Hamilton tried to pass, it was there. Pitch and catch with wide open guys all night AND run game whenever they wanted it too. Just totally unprepared to play on D. Everyone making the comparison to the Jim Daley era defense is spot on. It was that kind of smelly bad.

Lucky for us the Hamilton D was almost as bad so the score wasn't a total blow out. Offense looks a lot better than last season already.

it’s not as much his performance as it is his fit. The rest of the secondary is much worse with him at s vs at sam. S is like that. BA made every one much better. It’s a niche position to fill for our usage. Some teams play low mobility canadians and just scarecrow them, but that doesn’t fit with what we do.

Same thing last year when we tried kramdi at S.

Thing is...Griffin is way better SAM than Kramdi and thru 2 games has been one our more consistent defenders. We tied to Kramdi tho somewhere as would look kinda bad paying your 3rd highest paid defender on the bench..he is best in a situation role but we pay him like some elite guy..and he just isnt..who cares how smart he is.

When woodbey is back we be better served pulling one of Jones or Kyrie and putting Allen at safety..we dont need 2 canadians to meet ratio on defence. And if we give will over to Smith we definitely dont need to go with a canadian safety.

When Eli is 100 percent as well it makes better sense to go back Canadian there and use that extra import elsewhere too..hopefully reciever with Singer and then we could be covered using Vaval more on defence..Guy is a playmaker and could be that on defence too

Just daydreaming but Smith in Kyries spot. Kramdi in Kelly’s spot. Cam Allen at FS. One of Hallett/Kelly/Bouliane comes off roster.

Give Shay some reps at wil and mac too and at least see what he can do, for a guy so highly touted he barely sees the field.

Wilson ain’t it at this point in his career and if the D can’t function without Kramdi on the field every play then the whole operation needs to be gutted quite honestly.

Tony Jones needs to be replaced sooner or later too but short of a trade, that’s an offseason project.
