awe that’s dirty award might also got to DD’s tremendously dumb challenge.

Mike Miller. Special teams superiority key

Jake of course. Willy will be reborn.

Always Brady.

HM to Condell, it finally seemed like we had an OC that understands the CFL game, and how to best utilize the players in his offense, not some guy that trying to reinvent the wheel.

Ceresna has more sacks and half as many tackles as Jake Thomas had ALL of season last year.....

Might need to add a category for being angrily wrong like DD. He was such a tool tonight. VA too.

The passing game was pretty slow for a good while, but that really looks like a personnel issue. Agree he called a very good game and did a nice job of getting guys involved and keeping Brady going. This is possibly the best OC'd game we've had in 2 years.

He will probably have more sacks this year than our unit had last year.

Willy looks like 2019 Willy again with actual pressure in the middle.

Nichols with the forced fumble was a huge play as well

Honorable mention to Sergio for coming thru in the clutch, again.

Well we gave it right back so meh. I thought he was one step behind tonight which is not like him.

Both lines were much better in the 2nd half. Hicks was giving our tackles trouble in the first half, but didn’t hear his name much in the 2nd. Contain on D was non-existent in the first half but pretty good in the 2nd. Very happy to see the amount of pressure we got.

Would have been if the INT hadn't happened next play.

Funny what can happen when you don’t have Jake Thomas beside you.

Credit to Ceresna, White, Nield for being factors in a big win

Willie looking like he can be useful again as a rotation piece who doesn’t have to play 96% of the defensive snaps is huge

Brady being Brady was awesome

Vaval looking like a cagey vet

Cons … our pass coverage aside from Holm and at times, Major … it was rough. Kramdi sucks at safety, Woodbey was lost all night, Nichols looking old, Moxey looking slightly less old. Hope that unit shores things up.

Tony Jones and Kyrie absolutely useless in anything other than the most obvious rushing downs was a downer

1. Ceresna. Exactly what we needed on the DL and made plays in crunch time.

  1. Interior OL. Opened up massive holes for Brady and with a rookie C, should only get better as the season goes on.

  2. Condell. After last year it was so nice to see so many plays with receivers wide open in space.

HH- Sergio booted 2 singles which ended up being a huge difference and the game winner,

Second HH to Brody Clark. All over the place in coverage and was playing pretty chippy.

Ceresna with the debut of all debuts.

Didn’t like the linebackers tho.

Major Williams played well.

But 3 stars

Ceresna

Brady

Zach not spectacular but nothing stupid.

HH Vaval for the field position.

One more positive- I don’t ever have to see Kolo on the ground playing nightcrawlers in a Bomber uniform ever again.

One more thing. All 3 phases contributed in the end. D stepped up after giving up all the TDs in the first half but did allow the late TD but the O stepped up and were consistent through out, then Sergio won it. That’s a game we lose last year. 30 points and our D scored no points is crazy.

Defense just didn't look like they could play fast out there. Defensive packages too complicated? I dunno. Offensively we did alright. I am starting to get a bit worried about collaros though. His throws are starting to look like lobs.

Weird game for the defense.

Only 6 completions through the first half, and then 4 completions allowed until the 3 minute warning where they gave up 7 on that last drive. Seemed like the secondary was just playing guys in front of them and Adams was fitting them into those windows. The Bombers were about 2 inches away from the Stamps kicking out of their end zone but alas.

Also got completely run over in the 1st half and then pretty much locked up Mills in the second.

Strange seeing the line get pressure, 4 sacks in week 1 is a sixth of the way to last seasons total.

And Collaros was more successful throwing the deep ball this game than he was last year... 3/6 on 20+ Depth yards... although none of those completions were much more than that. All 3 incompletions to Pokey. He was about 40% last year with 7 picks

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it and I don’t think they were perfect, and lots of room to improve but only one sack on Zach and some huge holes for Brady to run through.. sure Zach got hit a few times tonight but as long as he’s been around Zach likes to hang onto the ball too long to try and find something developing down field. I think in particular the second half Zach had more time to throw than I’ve seen in the last two-three years.

There were some hiccups and Big Stan showed his age on a play or 2 for sure. All in all it was promising though and miles better than most games the last 2 years.

I’m concerned about their Canadian depth there though, better hope both guards can stay healthy.

I think the 3down recap mentioned Zach was pressured on 5 of 8 of his pass attempts in the first half. Definitely looked a lot more comfortable out there in the second.

When you say Jake my symptoms of PTSD return because I still think you refer to the other Jake.
