Hogan was an unmitigated disaster though.

I'll never forget being up 8, in the red zone with a field goal to ice the game against Toronto.

First and 10 at their 15.

A 50/50 corner route jump ball was called. Our 5'9 receiver sterns against their 6 foot tall+ DB.

Interception.

It was the most unaware call I've ever seen, below high school level.

Condell ******* sucks but Hogan was completely incompetent on another level

Picking between condell and hogan is like deciding what manufacturer you want to make the semi that runs you over. You may really love Mack, but nothing changes in the end.

Our offensive output is basically exactly the same 2025 to 2026.

Average 25 points per game

345 yards net

This year we average 30 yards less per game rushing and 30 yards more passing. But far fewer 30+ plays passing and far more sacks in 2026.

Average gain per play and on 1st down nearly identical.

Worse on 2nd down this year. 7th in the league TD drive % to 9th this year. Worse Red Zone TD %.

So Jason Hogan learns what a screen pass is and he's a better CFL OC than Tommy Condell is today. Hogan's biggest issue was not being able to overrule Collaros.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign five players to the practice squad

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed wide receiver Jerand Bradley, offensive linemen Jeremiah Crawford and Tunde Fatukasi, and defensive backs Damion Harvey Jr. and Tamon Lynum to the practice squad on Saturday.

As soon as I heard he was hired I thought 'is that the best we can do'...He was not successful back east and naturally our brain trust said to themselves ..ah what the hell he has CFL experience....Yes, someone must have said, experienced that went nowhere BUT we can turn him into an offensive genius...So he we are stuck with an incompetent and I'm going to suggest he's not the only one

A dumbass Head Coach hires a dumbass OC. What could possibly go wrong? Birds of a feather flock together. I'm thinking that it took so long to hire someone that no one wanted to come here & work under Osh. We should have called Marcel Bellefeuille to come out of retirement. Even he would have been an improvement over Condell.

bradley is a wr who converted to te. pretty athletic, good hands and size, soft and not much of a blocker though.

Do any of them play center?

Doesn't block? He ought to fit right in.

fatukasi has played some C, he’s played all positions though really.

right? he can run though atleast

Hogans schemes were so unbelievably amateur. He coached like he was coaching high school football. The fact he was aloud to stick around and have an opinion after the disaster last year is very telling. Condells problem is he starts trying to make his own adjustments before the opposing defense can. How many great looking drives did we have where Brady was involved only to get to the red zone and stop feeding him. Once the defense makes their adjustments he has no answer. Condell knew what kind of offence he wanted to run. You have similar players like Demski and and Pookie and you bring in Tim White who I like a lot but just feel when you have a guy like Austin Mack available, a true number one guy who can come down and make the hard and contested catches it made me realize there were going to run this offense no matter what. Maybe they expected Tommy Nield to be that possession guy but holy what a disappointment. Anyways. 4 games left not expecting much but hope Stringer continues to emerge. Having him and Pookie next year would atleast be a good start to whoever has control of this offense next season.

I guarantee at least 50 high schools in the US in any given year have a better system and play-calling than what Hogan brought.

What is really scary is that we never got to see Ds develop long-term against Hogan. After a year or two as a play caller, things get much tougher. Hogan never got to that point, things could've gotten much worse.

About the size of it.

I'll tell you how it works.....Expectations will be so low that anything the brain trust tries to pass under your nose will look great AND when that happens we'll all be happy with anything resembling competency, enabling the brain trust to sift through the bottom feeders and promptly bring them in...Capiche...signed 'The Mafia'

his offence looked like a shitty highschool offence...as that was his only experience with an offence...sad athletic hire right from the get go and the fact Doofus just kept him there after 6 games is just as sad...shoulda been fixed that yr and not start from scratch this yr with another bottom tier hire

I don't think so. There were some pretty lean years in the early days of the new stadium.

Respect the crap outta that.

It's pretty clear now he trolls to try and kick up a tizzy just to get eyes on him and the cfl. I hope he tones the twitter stuff down a bit, but I love this guy in the booth. He needs to be the main colour analyst for as many cfl games as possible. He and lapo elevate the broad cast a massive amount over suitor etc.

I agree. I started out really disliking him with his stints on the desk with Jay. He often just craps on players, plays, coaching decisions, etc. Comes off as arrogant and annoying. But as a colour guy, I like him. He gives some actual insight and talks about the X’s and O’s In a real way. He can still be a bit annoying, but he’s way, way better in that role.

yup takes a man to be a man...good on him

And agree his analysis and breaking down of what's going on...almost as it happens is top notch. He knows what he is talking about and can explain it to fans in a way that they can grasp, and isnt dumbed down.

Compare him to Suitor and its like a 3rd grader vs a College Grad. And Lapo too is totally finding his groove. Best thing TSN has done is bring these guys into the fore front and it only will help with new fans in my opinion.

For the Grey Cup and Siv Finals it be in league's best interest to have Willson in the booth...and Lapo doing sideline work of some kind as the game is is being played

Keep Suitor far away as in all honesty his color and analysis is just so amatuer hour now it's not even funny...He add's nothing to the game telecast....nothing

100%. Willson takes me inside the game better than even Lapo does. Love how he isolates how a player's good technique or bad technique can make or break a play.

Lapo's stuff is mostly Xs-and-Os "this guy runs here and this other guy runs here and they put the secondary in a bind" which is very interesting but not as personal.

Hes still very raw... Has his crutches (as Lapo does too) but you can tell there's something to work with. Similar to Dunigan, he has an energy about him where you know he loves the game. He's clearly one of those "the CFL sucks so much compared to NFL" types that I hate so much, but.. he's clearly passionate about football as a sport.
