depends what u call success I guess...We didnt go to 7 straight west finals, so not sure where you grabbed that number...we went to 5....and last yr would have missed playoffs if ottawa and t,o didn't have 9 wins combined...That wasnt a successful yr...was a by default yr...and lucky for us

Reg season wins are nice and all but is that really success?...We lost 3 straight grey cups...and each one was to a team with less wins, so I don't see the success like you, as we at same time obtained less wins along the way...to the point we were lucky to win 10 and got bounced 1st round in a cross over....again is that success??

Our success was 5..6 yrs ago now really....and hanging on to that gets you where we are now...needing a total overhaul almost

2018,2019,2021,2022,2023,2024-we went to 6 straight West Finals and 5 straight Grey Cups.

they also seem disjointed or unable to shift gears on the fly...what they deem the ratio and the who where is carved in stone and if camp reveals they could goa different route and be actually better...they can't deviate, or just have no ability to.

as well as several receivers in the draft too...We took none. I dont even count Daniels as a legit possibility to be a receiver this yr...if ever...so that pick as well where we took it was extremely short sighted...dare I say stupid

But... he was the most awesomest player in the draft. The Trinity said so.

With the end zone cut to 15 yards next season, we'll probably nneed an extra tight end to block & catch in tight spaces inside the 20 so I'll judge him by this time next year & see where he is development wise & how Condell uses him.

Fun fact through their teams first 3 games the Bombers had the TiCats beat in most offensive categories except points scored because the ticats were finishing drives with TDs at an astounding rate.

Yeah, well that wagon train left the station two months ago.

Who knows? They started hot last year and faded in August. BLM isn't a great QB at this stage.

The guy threw for 5,296 yards & 36 touchdowns with only 11 interceptions in 2025. He had a 68.2 completion average with a QBR of 107.2.

This season... 2026... after just 4 games he had thrown for 1,197 yards & 9 tds with just one interception. He had a 78.2 completion percentage with a QBR of 102.6.

The Ti Cats were serious contenders in the East had Mitchell stayed healthy. Not his fault that Milanovich & the entire organization didn't plan for a long term injury to the guy. Their entire season was flushed downt the toilet becausae of it.

Your post is about as laughable as Noeller's "expert" take on Fajardo.

Hard to say it was Kyle's plan if we didn't draft any Canadian receiver...you would think we would draft at least 2...and target more than No Touchdown Nield...no?

And yeah good on a coach for talking to his players and getting a feel for how they doing with some support and encouragement...as he should...doesnt need flowers for doing his job

show the math for 7 straight west finals....if you wanna give a solid argument...get facts right...nice picture you paint...but fail to acknowledge 4 successive declining yrs...dip in standings...and earlier playoff exit...Thats more pertinent to what happened in 2019 and 2021. I guess you are like Oshea...looking back instead of forward and actually preparing and transitioning properly toward it

Show the math for 5 straight West finals. I've been told facts matter.

and??...whats your point....we been in decline recordwise...standing wise...and when we exit playoff wise since 2021...Just ignore that part?...

I agree we have had some success....but we also have had a lot of failure record notwithstanding...I could care less how many wins we got during the season ...if only to lose when it matters...and most times self inflicted stupidity contributed to it..People all worked up and think I said we never were good...I said all time we were...when we were hungry...focused and not lazy...and had good players across board and used them accordingly....we are none of that now...and add to it questionable coaching....but yeah....we went to 5 grey cups...thats in the rear view so big whippity do....nothing lasts forever with a coach and staff...we at that expiry date sadly but we just cling to...the past....key word....past

u still didnt show the math for 7...I wasnt including 2018...I was going from Grey Cup yr so guess I should have specified...as in my opinion 2018 wasn't a successful yr...I was tracking from the first success and onward....

But regardless we have been in 5 yrs of decline which is my point and this yr seems to have that trend intact....that's an issue

I guess there are a couple people here who have a differing opinion on what success entails...and thats just fine...If we win another Cup under Osh I will never post again...I sure that would give a lot of you a nice lil chub you can rub

They were highly successful... Probably could have been more successful in all honesty, but still can't take away that success. Trouble is there's too much resting on those laurels and has been for a while.

for sure...successful reg seasons...but whats that get you in the end if you are flawed...I just revisit and lookat things and wonder how dominant we really could have been if we did some things differently....we did a lot of winning in spite of it...we cant do that now and thats what gets under my saddle...as it can be easily fixed

If we didnt have heads up ass and rested as you mentioned we likely won 2 of those 3 cups....Probably could have been there again last yr after securing first if we had been actively upgrading and transitioning on the fly....but we just kept looking backward and clinging to past glory....and let our roster get depleted and have next to nobody to transition...or we refused to use some...Smith is a start...Moving on from JT and having Lawson be the CND rep gobbler is another...but we been woefull up until this

I don't post nearly as much as I used to but stuff like this is laughable:

"Depends on what you mean by success" .. to .. "We had some success" .. to .. "We had successful regular seasons"

If you want to talk facts: the Bombers from 2015-2025 rank 5th in number of wins over any 10 year span in CFL history. That's behind only two separate Edmonton and Calgary runs. In the last 10 years we've won more playoff games than any other CFL team .. been to more Grey Cups and trail only Toronto in terms of championships. Over the last decade we've become a model franchise in terms of profitability, game day experience and yes .. winning in both the regular and post season. By any metric we've enjoyed an immense level of success and we've been spoiled by it - we've come to expect it.

Are there warts .. have there been bumps along the way .. could we have had another banner or two? Absolutely. Am I happy with the current direction and make-up of this team? Not by any stretch of the imagination All that said, anyone suggesting that we haven't been successful .. dominant even .. has got their head rooted firmly up their ass.

Nothing lasts forever.

THIS! This isn't the end of a 5-6 year run. It's the end of a decade of dominance. All good things come to an end eventually, but the pretending that they were only marginally successfully is both hilarious and ignorant.

Success to some people is doing it their way and only their way. It’s a little ironic that one of the talking points about O’Shea is he’s stubborn or arrogant. Actually a lot ironic coming from people who just refuse to actually accept they ain’t running **** and never will. O’Shea is living a few people’s dreams on here. As @voodoochylde posted, reality is that’s a whole **** ton of success. Yup. Things are tough right now but you know what outside of ppl pretending a couple teams are better than they are (does it matter if Bo throws for 6000000 yards if they lose in the end??) the reality is it’s Montreal Sask and then everyone else. Bombers are 5 and 4. lol. 4th overall in the league, 2 points behind those legit 3rd overall riders. 1 more loss than 2nd overall Edmonton in 1 less game tho but still, 5 and 4. Yeah they don’t look good and look like they think it’s ok and everything gonna just click and off we go when it probably won’t but still, it’s Montreal Sask Edmonton and US as top 4 currently. The entitlement is real. No it’s actually the exact definition of spoiled rotten like @Noeller said before.

It’s also so very repetitive.

I can’t speak for others, but I understand we’ve had a great run of success and, as a fan, I appreciate that. Because we can all remember the darker times. What frustrates me over the last few years is the steady decline and seemingly no urgency to adjust course. The stubbornness to not adapt and continue doing the same things that aren’t working.

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!! You're head will be assumed up the ol hiney!! Thre are a lot of brain deaders here who's only argument is backward looking....but ignore the current trend and why it's in said trend

One the deaders claimed he blocked me put still responds to my posts...so there goes that credibility

I'm really torn between telling you guys not to waste your time arguing with the everything is **** always posters and saying **** it an joining. My current strategy of blocking those people means sometimes I can't read entire pages of these topics 😂

No question this season hasn't been fun to watch. The defense makes me want to throw something through my TV, and the offense isn't much better.

In my twenties we didn't win a single game in Regina. That was pain. In my thirties we won, and we won a lot and it was a hell of a ride. My forties so far is kind of like my twenties, the team is hard to watch. But man did we have a good run

You missed Jim Spavital. 🤭🤭

This is the crux of the state of debate these days. No middle ground anymore. MOS and Walters were immensely successful for many years and both are very good at their jobs, however, both men are struggling right now as their competition was forced to raise their games and they stopped raising the bar. Both things can be true. We dont need to attempt to rewrite history to win an argument.

What we need is a GM and coach with the same hunger to succeed as they had before. If they do there is no better coach and GM this team could ever hope for.

Both sides of this debate are right. MOS and Walters are the best duo in the CFL, but only if they get off their asses and raise the bar like they used to do.

People saying MOS and Walters are shitty are clueless, people saying that MOS and Walters are doing a good/their best job right now are also clueless. Both men are exceptional at their jobs but both men need a swift kick in the arse to get them going again.

What was wrong with Jim Spavital? He came in after the Joe Zaleski years when the team had no talent or leadership. Zaleski was a joke of a head coach. When he hired Spavital in 1970, GM Earl Lunsford gave him nothing to work with & the Bombers went 2-14.

Then in 1971, Lunsford actually went to work & traded for QB Don Jonas, Center Bob Swift, Flanker Jim Thorpe & TE Paul Markle. Lunsford also drafted Receiver Bob Kraemer, Receiver, DB Peter Ribbins, FB Clay McEvoy & Kicker Walt McKee. Signed free agent Halfback Mack Herron, FB Ed Williams, DB Tom Oberg, Receiver Paul Williams, DT Jim Sullivan & Safety Grady Cavness. They made the playoffs at 7-8-1 in 1971. The first time since 1966.

The Bombers shot up to 10-6 in 1972 & finished first hosting the Western Final. The Riders fluked out a win on a bad ref's call in the 1972 Western Final to beat us. Then, in the following off season, Lunsford got rid of Mack Herron & Jim Thorpe on minor possession charges for weed. Herron got a suspended sentence in May of 73 but Lunsford still released them. Thorpe just disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again. Herron signed with the New England Patriots & promptly set an NFL record for combined yardage by a player (rushing, receiving, punt & kickoff returns).

The CFL leading rusher & receiver in 1972... both gone just like that with the stroke of a pen by Lunsford. Their best OL in Guard Bob Lueck retired & All Star MLB Mickey Doyle broke his leg in the 72 Western final. He wasn't ready to play & the 73 season was a wash for him. He ended up with the Stamps after being released & never returned to form after the injury. The Bombers dropped to last place at 4-12 & Lunsford fired Spavital.

Lunsford tore the team apart but it wasn't his fault. He took no responsibility for that. He never adequately replaced the players he cut or retired. He blamed coaching or lack thereof for the Bombers finishing last that season. Lunsford overall was a prick as a GM. Renowned for not treating his players very well. Which was typical back then by GM/s all across the league. I always thought Spavital got the short end of the stick from Lunsford who took no accountability for the pratfall in 1973. We then went 3 seasons (1973-75) before we made the playoffs again in 1976.

Spavital was alright.

Pretty much agree..both need to be better..but osh is the worse of the 2 as the poor game day stuff had zero to do with the g.m...u also dont want a g.m meddling either..whatever the issue is tho we won't be winning no cups or even getting their again unless they both wisen up
