We have a million LBs but they mostly suck.

100%.

Woodbey was spinning like a top in Edmonton. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets demoted, sat for Jaworski/Dixon if they think one of them is ready or recast as more of a DE.

Jones is injured. As much as people want to **** on him he's probably the best run-stopping/blitzing LB we have.

100% but a one-dimensional (does blitzing and run stopping count as two dimensions??) guy is not what you want as your starting MLB

Considering we are worst in league in run defence...Maybe thats a bonus?..Smith has been really good in run support tho..

As per the bolded...then why sign here?..hahaha...But agree...He's a solid guy..still youngish...prob wont see him on roster even if he looks to be the best of the group

But yeah...we have serious needs in several places...LB far down the list...talk about clueless

My bigger question...we playing the top team in league...at home, so no travel day required. We obviously need practice time and figure things out....had the 1 day off required on sat...Have we even practiced yet...are we today...should been on field sunday already

Smith has been the beat linebacker on the team since hes gotten playing time.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign UFL standout Kyahva Tezino - 3...

I wonder had Javon Santos Knox stayed healthy how things would have turned out (for our Lbers)

a sad reality just peeking around the corner...If we lose this week...which is a 99.5% certainty if we change nothing...and that's a 99.5 certainty as well, and CGY beats the Elks...we in the basement at the 11 game mark of the season

Then we have MTL..SSK..SSK...BYE...TO..MTL...CGY...EDM

I have a real hard time seeing us crawl outta the gutter looking at that next 7 game stretch as we likely are 6 and 11 after that...Maybeeeee 7 and 10 but that's being ultra optimistic...especially if with that bye wedged in there we just stand pat with the excuses and justification of the what's and why's...which also is probably a 90 percent certainty

We also close out vs BC who could be playing for a position in standings too so wont be sitting anyone

It could quite possibly be a tasty lil 7 and 11 season....and a continuation of the current 5 yr slide...5 yrs!!! and significantly worse than previous...... Definitely not going to get us 3rd, and high chance of no cross over as a 4th place finish in West is a pipe dream with 7 wins, and even then...that may not even cut it for the crossover

He'll never see the field. Even if he is the best linebacker on the team. Osh will never play him.

Was thinking it might be more like 6 and 12

I was being optimistic sadly

A good drubbing friday on a no change week...be it players...even just one for god's sake...or same ol same flawed scheme and in game collapse...then the excuses afterward...I can seriously see a team that just quits moving forward the rest of yr...and some likely eying an escape (the ones on final yr) with some internal turmoil outside the eyes of media and fans....if that hasn't happened already

unfortunately a 6-7 win team might be the best thing to happen to this management (coaches included)... maybe it'll wake them up... or, they'll continue on the path of complacency...

If you want to actually be optimistic.

Playing the Als twice you might catch them with their pants down in one of those meetings and catch lightning in a bottle and play a whole game like they played the first half against Edmonton.

Riders look like a mess right now

They've already beat the Argos

They've split against Calgary and they are Jekyll and Hide anyways

They've played Edmonton strong twice now and two weeks out of the playoffs they could be in coast mode

BC they played well for 56 minutes and who knows what level of competition there could be in the last week of the season.

We've got 3 teams on the West who all look extremely flawed, and one team whose recent play just busted that out of that moniker. Things are wide open.

You don't think Osh can roster another LB!? Of course he can! He can play an all LB defense if he wants. Just watch!

Also playing October Vernon Adams is much different than July Vernon Adams...

Bombers practicing today and their opponents aren't!

Brady continues to sit practice out. Sticking with the Ankle designation so probably nothing new.

Nichols (Ankle) and Bryant (Ankle, same as last week but he made 2 practices) join him on the sidelines. Kramdi a full participant

I just can't see a lot of players wanting to re-up next year. I bet Wallace leaves.

Just like Brady was gonna leave. Wallace probably stays cuz I’m not sure he starts anywhere else. I’m not even sure if he’s worth a big raise. Ppl **** on big Stan, myself included but Wallace Elsbury Neufeld give up tons of pressure.

Hasn't worked so far, and it appears unlikely to now.

Yet, if those in Bomber Nation were expecting some sort of dramatic changes when the team got back to work on Monday, be it through the transaction wire, benchings, firings or some sort of old/new formation — the Wing-T, anyone? — they would be foot-stomping angry by what unfolded at practice.

And, frankly, would we expect anything different from an outfit that has long approached its struggles by simply grabbing the axe and getting back to work chopping wood again?

Expect a loss...likely an ugly one. And that last sentence right there says all you need to know...what worked in the past...with a way less talented group of legit players doesn't work now...heck what worked in the past with legit players a lot of times doesn't work and you have to evolve and adapt

We just refuse to...or have no ability to, or are just too stupid too...Take your pick but we aint going nowhere this yr, or making any noise.

This mess falls on Miller. Does he keep the old gang together or do they sit by the fire together sipping sherry singing Auld Lang Syne?

Partially, yes.

even reading more of that article Osh is so full of crap...just some execution...some finite details still to fix..etc..etc...its game 11 coming up...That execution crap and the little details should have been addressed...corrected...whatever you wanna call it 5 games ago...Maybe it's not execution but the useless guys you kept who just can't execute, or your coaching is so bad that at the professional level you cant show/teach or run any kind of practice to do the littlest of things....like tackle.....catch...run a proper pursuit angle...block

Man excuse after excuse. Or maybe they so dense they can't even see the limitations in some guys
