I actually don't think Wilson was ever as much of an after thought as all that... I think the backup spot was wide open to whoever wanted to take it.

If it was then Wilson is the biggest quitter of all time. I would think he and MOS's talk would have kept him in camp if it was expressed no decision on 2 had yet been made.

The chatter seems to indicate that Wilson thought he was just going to be handed the spot... so that's probably why he bailed. Didn't want to compete and felt he was getting beaten.

    This would be the complete opposite of that though. If it was a Jake Thomas situation then Wilson would still be here....he is the Jake Thomas.
