I’m at camp today. First observation is DeShaan Dixon has the shortest shorts I’ve ever seen on a football player.

  • I had a leftover day of vacation to use up so I rolled through the stadium today and concentrated on the offense Bryan Randall appears to have a leg up on the QB2 job, Darryl Hackney looked awful in s

I fear you may be right. Jones seems to have become a favourite of O'Shea and we all know what that means.

To me he's just being a smartass... and yeah the point you make is there too it's not mean, it's just a humorous truth. Most people don't have the required background to properly judge what's happening at training camp.

That being said I appreciate every single one of the accounts from camp even if they're full of crap, and all those preseason heroes Mike threw into the post is a fun reminder of how us fans get at this time of the year.

Does Mike think everyone here are simpletons and need to be taught that TC reports do not tend to age well? High Horse should be the name of his car. I mean honestly this thought police shtick can get annoying to a lot of the members here.

It would be different if he himself didn't value his opinions higher than anyone else's...but he does.

It’s actually sad how you and Old Man Nickel are so butthurt by literally anything I post. It was a joke and off goes Al with his “OMG and he’s a mod” whining and off goes GCn with his “he thinks he’s smarter than everyone” proclamations. Do you notice how everyone else was able to either just laugh, shake their head or ignore it and move on? Instead of putting a whole bunch of implications that don’t exist into the words I wrote?

I don’t know if you two are just completely incapable of letting anything I post NOT get to you, but maybe you should try. Like I messaged Al earlier, I’m an “administrator” here because I helped (barely) Rich found this place however long ago we started it and if you were to ask any of the people (Rich, Joey, Mark, NOT me) who actually put in their time and effort keeping this site tidy, they’d probably tell you I don’t even know where the ModCP is to be able to do any moderator duties. Not once in ten plus years here have I ever leaned on anyone and tried to act like an authority, so I have no idea where his weird old ass gets that idea. And I guess I’ll just say this part out loud - I stopped being in tune with the goings on and day-to-day of this team a couple years ago, I don’t know sweet **** all about most things other than when I have a few spare minutes to read some articles so whatever “holier than thou” attitude you think I’m toting around … it ain’t there. I do see it from you with your constant arguing like you know everything about the whole Walters vs. O’Shea dilemma and I do think it’s funny that you are just about the only one here who doesn’t notice it, but hey … that’s not my business.

anyways. Curious to see who breaks camp tomorrow. Go Bombers. Grey Cup in 2026.

Any releases yet? And I guess humour is subjective cuz that wasn’t overly funny. More kinda stupid and a waste of time kinda like attending camp so it all makes sense. There’s been plenty of years we all pick a dude and declare him the man then he gets cut first time he can. It is what it is. Who cares. Football is back. I’d love to see a surprise early release of a lb but that’s not gonna happen.

the thing is with some players hype, and the perception (and a lot of times correct) that a guy has it and should/could be playing is that in the CFL, especially with a rigid roster framework/ratio idea and or a very biased Coach (which is and may still be an issue here) better players are gonna be cut adrift, or get no opportunity and the bad taste of knowing you got cut for a scrub or a favorite is a big factor in PR refusal...and rightfully so....just way it is in CFL when you have a ratio, and also an overly Patriotic Canadian head Knock....

All that being said am looking forward to some days at camp...will throw out my opinion, and take it for what it is...my opinions and looking forward to DL/WR and LB battles, and a what we do on Oline and Receiver....with our "overall depth" especially on defense I hope we dont go 3 import on Oline and 3 cabadian at receiver...that makes us a weaker team and the trade off in production at both spots doing so isnt big enough to make it worth it

Especially if later this yr or in 2027 one of or both of Manu and the kid we drafted stroll into camp...along with likely more Wallace development and Vibert being ready to play in prime time. Plus we need a 6'3" or bigger receiver with skills to win one on ones to augment or wr group....we have lacked that for yrs now but have been burned by guys like that...a lot

I took Mike's post as a joke and thought it was so funny.

Yeah I D aw it as a good humourous reflection from the past too

Wonder if Britton retired or “retired” although he wouldn’t be a counter either way so I’m assuming it’s legit

Britton the only one on there really worth mentioning.

what’s the story with jaworski tho. Osh was asked about him and hinted maybe he’s not actually retired. Britton? He might be for real tho as he was all last year also pretty much.

I just really wanted a guy named McCutcheon on the team... Sad about that. Otherwise, let's get main camp rolling!

Britton seems like appropriate self awareness. From what I saw he probably didn’t belong in a CFL training camp.
