His man totally blew up a promising looking sweep play in the 1st half and then he got caught blocking towards his endzone and aborted a drive. Sheed is out of football, right? One reason why they brought him onto the roster in favour of Mitchell was because “he did the dirty stuff” and blocks on run plays. My immediate reaction watching that and a number of other plays unfold was: Would help if he did that **** well. Tracker and MOBomberFan 1 1
Goalie Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Everyone making Dillon Mitchell out to be some stud receiver is I think fooling themselves. His best season he had just over 700 yards. I mean. It’s not like he’s some stud. Honestly. Him and sterns have similar numbers in their career. wbbfan 1
rebusrankin Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago MOS on the pre game was talking about how Corcoran does all the dirty work well, how he's a hard worker etc and I kept thinking that's the MOS MO, Hard working, does the little things guy, talent doesn't always factor in see The Marine. They also say they don't want to move Wheatfall, so can he only play 1 spot. Wheatfall has about 115 yards in the past 4 games so its not like he's lighting it up.
Eternal optimist Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Wheatfall's struggles are married to ZC struggles... if you're a burner who runs deep, dont have much thrown to you when your QB can reliably throw 20 yards or under. Also fun fact: We have not lost when Streveler is our starting QB this year 🤣

He put up near that amount in only 9 games as a rookie. The potential is (or at least was) there, he's just never gotten back to that level. Don't know if he'll ever get back to that but we certainly won't know if he doesn't get a chance. rebusrankin, wbbfan and coach17 3

You keep missing that part of this equation. I don’t think anyone here is clamouring for the use of Dillon Mitchell because we’re all long term members of his fan club. I think most of us are confused as to why we paid 150k annually to a guy who is turning out to be the 9th (at best) receiver on our depth chart. Noeller, coach17, JohnnyAbonny and 5 others 5 3

It's not that people think he’s a stud, it's that he's shown some potential and we signed him early in the offseason and our receivers blow. So we want to see what a guy like that can do. do or die Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Like: Vaval...coaches patience well rewarded, 2TD returns probably the difference, tonight DL......the most disruptive game, we have seen from this group Streveler.......2 and 0 as the starting QB No like: Hogan........guy should be shipped off to a POW camp. Stupid play call after stupid play call. Bonds......useless, inept....... one man wrecking crew, for opposing teams... GET RID OF HIM!! Receivers........bottom tier of this group, just not good enough. Piggy 1, wbbfan and Stickem 2 1

We're basically not dressing a full compliment of receivers right now but dressing Cooley to show the world he has no ability to catch kicks and nothing else....while we have a backup Canadian who can do that and more in street clothes on the sideline. coach17, rebusrankin and Piggy 1 2 1
Super Duper Negatron Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago That one Bonds play still blows my mind. Bites hard and gets burnt, actually recovers because of a badly thrown ball but instead of looking for the ball decides Coxey needs to wear him as a necklace instead. Just awful football. wbbfan and Noeller 2
Goalie Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Oh I don’t disagree. There’s obviously something going on there with Mitchell tho. Perhaps personality clashes. Why not release? I feel he will be without ever playing a snap. But prob cuz don’t want to admit they made a mistake. Are the receivers that bad or is it the play calling cuz Wheatfall and Demski have put up numbers. (In individual games) Sterns seems to be a consistent player. Streveler threw 1 pass over 20 yards and it was to Demski so the receivers numbers not gonna be great obviously. While I don’t think Streveler is the answer or Zach for that matter, it’s pretty obvious the OC has no clue. And if you take emotions out of it, outside of 1 game vs Edmonton and 1 half vs BC, our QBs have sucked 1. Willie - best game in years but I think I’ll give Assists to Person Vaughters Adams Lawson also. 2 Vaval- last time a bomber returned 2 kicks in a game was probably Janerion Grants debut probably 3 Demski our only threat on O really HH Sheehan with another good game Edited 2 hours ago by Goalie

I dunno which one first but someone.... need some receivers other than Demski who can make a play. Stearns is OK but not a top 2 type guy. Yeah i just don't understand why they would dress Cooley and never use him on offense and then go ahead and dress 3 Canadian receivers because reasons... if Mitchell is a guy they feel they can't play then drop him.and bring in some guys who might be able to do something useful on a roster that needs help offensively. Noeller Posted 42 minutes ago Report Posted 42 minutes ago Ya... Reggie White, Dillon Mitchell, Demski, Sterns.... At least on paper, that seems a hell of a lot better than what we're fielding. Tho I still think the OL needs to be fixed before we can properly judge the rest of it.
Stickem Posted 33 minutes ago Report Posted 33 minutes ago Vaval.................where was all of this return talent 5 games ago...Credit to the kid....looks like he's figuring it out Jefferson...........could be the no 1 choice as well.....one heckuva game for Willie....nightmare for Arbuckle Demski......just keeps on tickin' ....and ever ready honourable mention to Jones who made a nice pic and lifted the D with his play

Slimy Sculpin Posted 30 minutes ago Report Posted 30 minutes ago My 3 Stars (Champs): 1) Special Teams: the difference in the game, IMO. They're playing with more discipline now although that illegal formation penalty on Castillo's last FG could have been costly. Vaval is improving but has got to be reminded about protecting the ball (shift from one arm to the other as required). And, I like his smooth stride and sneaky good acceleration and speed. Although he shanked one, Sheehan is punting better. That's a couple of illegal kick-offs by Castillo this season. Still like his leg though. Although the difference last night, there is still room for improvement with STs. Oh yeah, what the heck was Cooley even doing on the roster? 2) The D-Line: They have dramatically improved since there have been more rotations. Jefferson looked like he was in his prime last night. And, where has Person been all this time. I watched Thomas closely when the cameras made it possible and I still don't get the coach's infatuation with him. 3) Nick Demski: The guy attempts to do it all and for the most part does. He's a gamer. He's even protecting the ball better this season. (He should have a little chat with Vaval.) However, being the go to guy, he's taking a pounding out there. Can he last the season? My 3 No-Stars (Chumps): Jason Hogan, Jason Hogan and Jason Hogan: If they haven't already, the offensive assistants should ask for a meeting with O'Shea. The TV took a verbal assault from me last night at some (most?) of his play calling. Aside from that stupid pass that was INT'd in the end zone, can anyone explain to me why on those plays where Streveler handed to Oliveira off-tackle, he stayed parallel to him instead of going wide. (One of the pxp guys commented that Streveler was throwing blocks for Oliveira on those plays. Really? Right, get another QB injured.) There was literally no option for Streveler to pull it and attempt to scoot around the end. My Honourable Mentions: Sterns (good), Streveler (bad). wbbfan and Piggy 1 2
