He's the headcoach and good and bad...yes it lands on him

Also again...from experience he can and does have say in plays and personel to run it...and again...thays experience talking...not opinion. And the HC will override a lot...or suggest a specific set or formation for particular down and distance.. and who he wants...and the Cordinators do best to facilitate it...based on what they provided for players...and in a lot of critical plays...situation it's the HC making the decisions...hence head coach....no offence here but I think you are a little mislead or unsure of how things actually take place.

He definitely needs to start coaching and getting involved and discard the self governing...and in some regards his involvement needs to be changed...

To state the obvious: all the coaching in the world cannot compensate if the player just not good enough and keeps getting sent out.
