Nolby Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Average signings or not, we need depth behind our starters, just need Onterra back Stickem and Noeller 2

Not saying we don't need to do it, just unfortunate it has come to this. I’m not surprised though. You lose your three best receivers, you can’t continue to run Joey Corcoran and your back up quarterback, they need some vets who you can plug in incase they’re needed for Sunday. Mike Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Was Terence Jeffers-Harris not available? HC85, Noeller, Nolby and 4 others 7
rebusrankin Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Moore and Echols are ok, at least they both have experience. Moore I assume takes the Stern role (I assume he's out long term). Does anybody know why Moore didn't play last year? Heck both are better than Corcoran and Cobb.

I don't disagree but the incentives to come north this season are not that great. If he does he basically ends any hope he does have of getting a NFL shot for a bit of Canadian money. He's got 17 weeks to get PR or active in NFL. He's got basically 7 game cheques that he can make up here. And if he chooses the latter he's taking a punt on the NFL until 2026. The Bombers would really have to sign him to a huge extension IMO to get him to come north. And I'm also not sure he's that good in our league. Noeller 1
Goalie Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I like Pokey but I wouldn’t go crazy overpaying for 1 year of production. I’d offer him a fair contract with an nfl out but if you ain’t making the NY jets then I’m not sure you getting another shot. I mean I work at a job that makes nepotism hires. I don’t mind but all the new office people are sons or daughters of bosses. In the nfl would a guy who was drafted and cut maybe get a shot over a guy who was undrafted and out the cfl. ?? I’m not sure there but I’d imagine NY was his chance. Edited 3 hours ago by Goalie
Noeller Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Ya honestly I'd worry that we'd overpay because we're desperate for receivers. And we don't know if he can duplicate last year's success...

Totally had to add receivers, just sad it got this far. 40 minutes ago, Goalie said: I like Pokey but I wouldn’t go crazy overpaying for 1 year of production. He may ask for a new contract in order to come back but his only option is Winnipeg in the CFL. Not really a great bargaining position if he wants to play.

IF he wants to keep playing it's the CFL or nothing this year. He can retire from football, but that is his only option for making money from now until April. I would be shocked if he isn't back here honoring his rookie contract while negotiating for an extension.

You do it to entice him to come back sooner rather than later, good will offering going forward locking him in for longer etc etc. Noeller and bigg jay 2

Do you think he's going to completely pass on any opportunity he might get in the NFL for the 2025 season for $30,000 Canadian? PR salary in NFL is $13,000 US per week. The competition is NFL and spring leagues that allow guys to leave immediately for NFL. Edited 2 hours ago by JuranBoldenRules Noeller 1

His worst financial move would be to come back here and finish his basic contract.

Continue with the 200k for next....done Edited 20 minutes ago by Booch wbbfan 1
