Nah... That D has problems. Even Edmonton was burning us for the explosions. And this O without Schoen, Demski and Sterns is a dog's breakfast. It's bad... But I still have faith they can fix it before it's too late.

How? It's too late. 

Why is everyone assuming Schoen won’t be playing on LD.  According to Hodge and the FP, he is expected to play.

How is it too late? It’s not even Labour Day yet for Christsake. They are in position for a playoff spot. 

The summers hottest teams aren’t always the ones doing well in the playoffs. 

How many years is it since Sask has won a game after Labour Day? 2 or 3? What was there record at this time last year? What is different that has everyone so sure they willl be for real through the fall? CGY looks tough but haven’t really faced any adversity from injuries yet, we have as good a chance as anyone in getting to the game this year. 

As long as Sask stays healthy, they are who they are... They're deserving of their record. The "after Labour Day" thing, recently, has been more about them getting injured. Harris goes down, Yoshi goes down... Various other starters. But if they're healthy, it's a good team everywhere but at PK.... We have every right to expect losses upcoming until we see the Bombers start to fix some problems (secondary, DL push, receiving corps...)

Many organizations that did it and have ended uo being very successful after the fact.

Not saying this yr...really how we are configured we basically gotta deal with cause there no quick fix really...but there are some pieces in house not necessarily being utilized to their best use

Next yr tho.. over the winter...total different story tho if we have less success than last yr...that can't be out of the question

If this team can get Demski, Scheon, Sterns, and Parker back on the field at the same time and still can’t get it done then I’d worry. When they replenish the roster with the projected starters I think they’ll do just fine 👍🏻

Adding Houston who I believe the team replaced with Bonds(?), and getting Pokey Wilson back would make them a dangerous team IMO 👍🏻

MOS and KW have eight straight 10+ win seasons (with a shot at a 9th), 6 straight WF trips, 5 straight Grey Cup berths with two Grey Cup wins. The team has sold out the first 6 home games with the 7th getting close. Yeah, we're frustrated with both of them but it would be a total surprise if either is let go.

Very Well Said - I agr1ee 100% - The Bombers have too many issues that need fixing and I doubt much will get fixed this year.

With neither being under contract after this season, it could be more a case of one of them walking away rather than being let go.

I'm looking forward to the next two weekends. (I'd be satisfied with a split.)

I think that our secondary is finally coming around. Due to injuries and outright poor play by the DBs, the Bombers' braintrust was forced to make changes. I think that Vaval and Allen are "keepers" and Houston, perceived baggage or not, will help solidify things. As for the D-line, I cringe every time I see two Canadians plugging up the middle. I'm hoping that the coaches realize that one Canuck, if they have to, is enough. The receiving core is a sore point. Pray for Schoen to return; Demski to be able to handle more pounding; and Mitchell to wake up?

It's almost never too late in CFL. Look at the Stamps, this year compared to last year.

Lots of people forgetting when the CFL actually starts. Next few weeks will be huge

The old excuse of too many changes will hurt you is b.s

If you bring in the right players...ones with sufficient skill and use and then have quality coaching...well you see what can happen

So what's the latest on Pokey Wilson.....we could sure use him, as I peruse our ailing receiving corps.....We need to get better in a hurry in a few areas BUT if we can't have Demski and or Schoen back for the next two....we're in deep doo doo

I hope we don't rush Schoen in cause we are desperate...cause we likely gonna ruin him...if we didnt already

Was apparent after game 2 he wasn't ready...and we kept running him out there until he now needs a brace...he not gonna be Schoen at all again this yr...we facked that right up all to hell...

Houston tho has communication history with Holm...and Nichols...but i am of the belief skill trumps everything...tenure...age...etc

He’s got an outside shot at a PR spot but that’s it. There’s 2 higher drafted WR’s that are in tough to make the active roster that would be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Whether they keep more than 2 on the PR I’m not sure. Also not sure if Wilson would get a PR look from other teams or how long he’d sit around waiting for the opportunity.

off season sure you can rebuild in one year, if you can add a top tier qb. mid season? where do you find talent mid season in this era?
