Just an observation about Clercius. In each of the last two games, he has dropped, in my opinion, an easy one. And, I've posted this before, if Demski, who I really like, is the (only) go-to-guy for those long ones, we're going to have trouble on O.

wouldn’t say an easy one, but one he should have.

also, we’ve seen a few more drops settling in the last month or so. and wrs struggle to be in the right spot. a lot of that execution comes down to coaching and depth.

we saw it before when roosevelt came in. prior a lot of guys had trouble with drops. sheed and demski especially. suddenly every one is playing to keep their spot and have to step up. and they did.

It's fascinating how narratives shift.  Earlier this year, the consensus was that we shouldn't overpay for Lawler, Ford, et. al. Not criticizing, just making an observation.

Well the GM obviously envisioned a group of schoen, Mitchell,  demski,  clercius a d wheatfall/sterns... which is better.

Lawler would easily replace anybody in that group and make it better. The only guy close in skill and production is Demski. To say that group is better is just ridiculous and hilarious

People here are always clamoring for the shiny new toy.  The guy who can't make a team anywhere is going to be an all-world player...if he just gets a chance.

We just need toys that are not broken...and obsolete

Ford, still even with the Injuries we have, I stand by he would not be worth his contract.

Lawler in hindsight was a "miss" even at his contract value......

Yup...Ford was definitely a no go...that's a position easily filled every 2..3 yrs with an entry level deal if your scouting is even just average

Yeah probably not worth his deal but also notable that like 2/3 of our passing yards against are on the crew we've had trying to fill that spot this season.

I much prefer schoen to Lawler but that's me. Lawler can be amazing, but some games he wasn't amazing.

We can debate schoen coming off the injury and whether he was ready or not but I'd have picked schoen over Lawler too.

Houston regardless of charges dropped and expunged meaning dudes innocent, I mean in America the dude is always guilty and this dude was found innocent and so innocent it’s like the courts said it never even happened, there’s no record of it, regardless, dudes just meh. Maybe a motivated Houston is good tho.

dandy is a nice one. He was aggressive in pre season. Stood out that way. Was surprised he was let go honestly.

Cooley. Good luck dude.

That's fine, I will agree to disagree.

If Schoen had always been mostly healthy maybe I'd be on your side. But with his extensive injury history, it wouldn't have even been a real decision.

Lawler has averaged 11 games a season since the shortened 2021 season.  This is the first season he's been healthy/not in trouble since then.

Since Schoen first got injured in 2023 he's averaging 3.5 games a season. With approximately 350 receiving a 1TD total.

Lawler is averaging 10 games a season. With approximately 1500 receiving and 12 TDs total.

Those stats are not even comparable, Lawler has been the superior, healthier and more reliable player.

Lawler is more valuable and should have been signed. Walters dropping the ball yet again.

and he's really cooled off lately too.

Yeah ice cold. Demski has 12 more yards in the last 2 games. Don't be surprised when Lawler gets cut this week for his cooled off production.
