Mount up! Move out!! Rider Nation can't spell let alone count. It's Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders. Not Roughriders.

Hard to not be disappointed with this signing.

I wouldn't even have guys in my database who are less than 4x All-Americans.

Justin McInnis college film would not look inspiring either and yet his size and catch radius cancels out all of his negative attributes.

Like his productivity, even though it was D2. I worry about the reliability and durability of guys who play 2-3 years and catch 30-50 passes. Even less than 100 is not a lot in game success. I also like his hands. Looks like hes catching everything with hands extended and not body catching.  Solid size as well.

He listed 6'3 200 in college, but his pro day was 6'1 and 194. Don't so much like his route running / film and athleticism. I don't see much in his get-off, breaks, or his trade craft in beating DBs. He looks to lean on his superior athletic ability vs D2, and his tremendous hands.  He's a decent athlete, 4.54 40, 33" vert, 10' broad, 4.22 SS, 7.09 3 cone. That's OK, speed numbers and slightly better Agility. But on his game film, he's just walking away from guys, but doesn't look explosive or like he has a great top gear. He runs like he's 225-230, but plays like he's a low 4.3 guy.

The upside: He could really benefit from the waggle if he figures it out quickly. He could also fit our scheme really well. Zach loves guys like him. He looks like a small-school, less polished Kenny Lawler, without the circus catch ability. If Kenny is a 10/10 in hands, McLeod is maybe 8/10. Or a less polished, less athletic Schoen. For his upside any way, his down side is a bigger version of McKnight.

Yeah, it's an ok move, but with moves like this we need to bring in another guy then be quick to move on from guys in a week or two and cycle till we find something.

It seems like since we lost Ted, our scouting quality took a hard hit

It's changed a lot, that's for sure. The coaching cap has hurt every team's ability to scout within the league, and has niche scouts in the US. We have 5 guys now who cover scouting. The GM, AGM, and 3 DOPPs. 1 DOPP and Walters heavily cover Canada. Mac has a territory; Jauch and Brock are left with the rest of the continental US and CFL. Walters fills a bit of everything, but also has all the other GM roles to do. Mac covers a fairly small geographic region, though the most dense and important. But that leaves a massive expanse of land for Jauch and Brock to cover.

Hamilton has a bunch of non-coaching cap executives working for the organization and stadium to enable their cap counters to do more with scouting.  They could do even more with it, but Ted just got them set up. I wouldn't be surprised to see more scout guys and fewer logistical guys in the coming years.

I think Cyril was a much bigger piece of the WR talent surge we saw briefly. I think Ted was the DL guy though.

Penn was a big loss...probably preventable too

Ellsbury has retired making room for McLeod. Which means we don’t have a developmental/back up imp ol any more.
Vanterpool is pressed into action currently, but we should be looking for another with nfl cuts.
But our pr is at its limit. So likely some clearing out to happen soon. 1 or maybe 2 easy cuts thats it. Though if zach is out chase could come up but we should bring in some one with experience.

I can't wait until the Vikings cut Justin Jefferson and we sign him

Maybe Manu ends up here later in yr

I don't know if he has the right attitude. Plus would he know the playbook? How would he adjust to the waggle?

could be. Lions have 4 lts, he’s pencilled in no3 with an injury to decker who likely will be back in mid to late September.
Could be any where from Ar to gone. Skipper likely starts, if jamarco jones backs him up manu is on the out side looking in.
