I think there’s guys at lb and dl who are currently better and will be better in the future than a couple of the current guys.

im looking kyrie tony jones Jake woods Vaughters as potential releases on D. A couple seem like wishful thinking tho.

what’s the deal with the rifles kid? Can we sign him and roster him? He’s better than every other cdn dl and more comparable to Lawson it seems.

Keep in mind he was getting reps vs similar level players in the 2nd half.

Sure. But heard his name lots both weeks. Thought he stood out honestly. For a guy who has only played for 3 years is it? So much potential. Guess he’s a territorial exemption tho? So send him to the rifles then bring him to the pr type stuff

Lofton could be the loser if they can only keep 2 of him, Randolph or Vanterpool, worse if they can only hang onto 1 of the 3, don't think any of them would accept PR.

If we start three, the other guy could be the gameday scratch. I think we’d want to keep them all if we’re starting three.

If we only start two Americans, one of them probably has to go, unless Randolph or Vantepool would go on pr.

Davis would be a guy to develop for sure but he raw...and has to be trained up and work on technique...handl skills etc...against starting lineup vets he'd get eaten alive...but I like what I seen if we develop him all yr on the PR

Vaughters isn't going anywhere...the way we have our roster configured i would say it be real difficult to.roster 2 import dt's unless we forego a DA on a returner/extra reciever...and that's only until Logan is ready...so do we just roster our 5 starters and have Cobb and Corcoran as the backups?

If Lawson is ready for major reps...with Adams who has looked the best...WJ and Vaughters...certainly Bailey and hopefully Person as he just so versatile and can play some linebacker with his speed and athleticism...which he did in college that's 6 pretty good guys upfront who we can do a lot with in 3 and 4 man fronts

Linebacker is the area I worried about as we know Osh will push hard for Wilson and T.Jones and that be a shame if one...or both are rostered over J.Jones...Ayers...and that Woodby whom I think were the 3 best in order...plus the fact you can play Person literally anywhere...dude is as fast as some of our receivers and DB's...4.60 40 yard dash in that body type...lethal up here on this big field...With Shay...Smith..Gauthier...Novak...Makonzo if/when he able we can do so much roster wise and could.forego using a DA on a linebacker and use it on  DL guy...I have zero faith tho that Osh will send one of Wilson or T Jones packing...let alone both...maybe he surprises us to get us our best roster but won't hold my breath and I sure we will get fed his B.S reasoning for it....same with JT...Sheehan...and Kolo at center...but...maybe xmas comes early

We start 3..which i hope we don't just rapes our defence and means we gonna see lotsa schmeck and Schmuck...or likely no Ayers and J.Jones...

Bombers won both pre-season games.

I was wondering if there was a correlation between pre-season success and reaching playoffs and eventual playoff success.

Going back to 2004 Bombers have won both pre-season games only once before, in 2019.

Not getting too far ahead of things, but, we know the name of the cup that was won by the Bombers that year. ;)

Both spent time on the PR last season and with game experience they now know they could be CFL starters if given the chance, with Sask. in a pickle don't like the odds of holding onto them if they go on the PR.

He was but he’s been playing football for 3 years. He was by far the greenest guy on either team, and still performed very well.

Idk that it makes sense to keep him rather than have him return, but I’d take him over our depth ni dts.

Since the team has salary cap space, hopefully they keep a few guys on the 1 game injured list.

Guys like Lofton and D Mitchell can be stashed there instead of going to the PR or being cut.

Lofton is a decent journeyman lineman and D. Mitchell so far looks about the same grade. Both are replaceable.

Send him back to the Wpg. Rifles and he might lose interest in football.  No reason not to keep him on the PR and help him develop, he already looks better than Kornelson.

And has more upside than Thomas...and is more effective....Schmeck too if we being honest...PR him and let him soak up the pro experience and teaching...we have held on to way worse slugs on the PR before...some for 2 yrs

I don’t think he will lose interest, but he could end up else where.

I love shmecks heart and motor. He might well turn him self into a solid back end of the roster Canadian. For all his work and drive though he isn’t suddenly going to become a guy who can bull rush the pants off guys.
I saw a couple great uses of his hands to disengage from blockers and get fill run lanes.

I am pulling for David Wallis to be the returner. He's come a long way since being Michael Scott's boss.

And Wallis is the first release today.  Cut to make room for Kody Case, who came off the suspended list.

I think this game finalized what we all knew…

This years TC MVP winner, is Cooley. Following in the footsteps of the oft mentioned legend tony ortiz and countless others, Cooley won over the fans, media, staff and his fellow players. He tore up the field every time he got a chance and has assured him self a tremendous package in the next couple days.

Instead of the usual apple and a road map, he can look forward to a steak sandwich from Simone’s and a business class plane ticket on an indirect flight.

In all seriousness, he’s shown he deserves a chance to play in this league. He even had a nice block on a sweep, and a really nice catch in a ball low and behind.

The ratio is wrong for Cooley as running back is a canadian spot. So, how do we keep him?

Vaval returns punts both return kick offs. Cooley becomes the back up wr as we have done in the past with guys like gmc. Then we di Sergio and probably Ayers.
Cooleys been better catching passes than our fa wr vets.

If Brady went down we’d be pooched way more than if an imp wr did. Plus we could spell Brady more, use him as a pass catcher more, and keep him healthy.
